Weco TH 50kW50kW three-phase high-voltage hybrid inverter, 4 MPPT

Overview

The TH 50kW combines 50kW and 55kVA of three-phase output with up to 100kW of PV on four MPP trackers. It works with WeCo high-voltage LFP batteries between 135 and 1000V at up to 160A. During outages the backup output carries 50kW, 75kVA for 10 seconds, with a switchover of 10ms or less, and grid bypass is 120A. Maximum efficiency is 98.5%.

How it works

The TH 25–60kW series brings hybrid storage to commercial three-phase sites. Four MPP trackers with two strings each accept 36A per tracker and 55A short-circuit current, operating from 140 to 850V with 1000V maximum input and 160V start-up. PV array power is up to 50kW on the 25kW model, 60kW on the 29 and 30kW, 80kW on the 40kW and 100kW on the 49, 50 and 60kW models.

The battery side works with WeCo LFP batteries between 135 and 1000V, derating above 950V, and supplies 80A per battery input or 160A on a single input. The backup output carries rated power on 400V three-phase with 150% apparent power for 10 seconds and a switchover time of 10ms or less. Grid bypass is 76A on the 25kW, 91A on the 29 and 30kW and 120A from 40kW.

Key features

Efficiency is 98.5% maximum and 98% European, with 99.9% MPPT efficiency. Protection includes PV isolator, string and battery reverse polarity protection, all-pole residual current monitoring, anti-islanding and AC overcurrent, short-circuit and overvoltage protection, with overvoltage category III on AC and II on DC. Power control and zero-export control are integrated, and standby consumption on-grid is below 35W.

Installation and compatibility

The inverter is wall-mounted, weighs 80kg and measures 825×795×327mm, so it needs a wall and fixings rated for that load. The enclosure is IP65 with smart forced-air cooling, operating from −25 to +60°C and up to 4000m with derating above 3000m, and noise below 50dB(A). Communication uses CAN to the battery BMS, RS485 to the meter and a Wi-Fi stick for the portal. Listed standards are EN 62109-1/-2, EN 62477-1 and IEC 61000-6-1 to -4.

Monitoring and settings

The Wi-Fi stick and WeCo's NooR app provide remote monitoring and settings, with LED status on the unit. The inverter warranty is five years, extendable to ten when a WeCo lithium storage system is connected and the product is registered on WeCo's platform.
