Who we areNew, original Trina Solar products with full manufacturer warranty, supplied with their documentation.
This pallet contains 36 Trina Solar TSM-470NEG9R.28 modules, 16.92kWp in total. The 470Wp class sits near the top of the NEG9R.28 range with 23.5% efficiency, 46.1V and 10.20A at maximum power, 54.6V Voc and 10.89A Isc. The 144-cell dual-glass modules keep the 1,762×1,134×30mm, 21.0kg format of the series, so roof layouts do not change when moving to a higher power class. Trina gives a 25-year product warranty in the EU and a 30-year power warranty.
The NEG9R.28 is the residential format of Trina Solar's Vertex S+ range. It uses 144 n-type i-TOPCon monocrystalline cells joined by multi-busbar, high-density interconnection, laminated between a 1.6mm anti-reflective heat-strengthened front glass and a 1.6mm heat-strengthened rear glass. The module measures 1,762×1,134×30mm, weighs 21.0kg and has a black anodised aluminium frame. Trina designs it to work with mainstream inverters, optimisers and mounting systems, so it fits most existing rooftop designs.
The current EU datasheet (version 2026-A) covers 450 to 475Wp in 5W steps with a 0/+5W power selection and 22.5–23.8% efficiency. Open-circuit voltage ranges from 52.9V to 55.0V and short-circuit current from 10.74A to 10.93A. The temperature coefficients are -0.29%/°C for Pmax, -0.24%/°C for Voc and +0.04%/°C for Isc, with a NOCT of 43±2°C. Maximum system voltage is 1500V DC (IEC), the series fuse rating is 25A and the 98th-percentile operating temperature is 70°C.
Trina's Vertex user manual lists the NEG9R series among modules designed for distributed systems and prohibits their use in ground-mounted power plants. With four clamps on the long frame and rails running across it, the clamp centrelines must sit in the 300–350mm zone given in the manual, which is rated for 4000Pa uplift and 5400Pa downforce. Clamps must overlap the frame by 8–12mm and never touch the glass; bolted fixing uses the four 9×14mm holes with M8 bolts at 16–20Nm.
Ratings of cables, fuses and other components connected to the array are sized with 1.25 times the marked Voc and Isc. The manual recommends a tilt of at least 10° so that rain washes the glass, a gap of at least 5mm between modules and installation below 2000m altitude. Connectors may only be mated with the counterpart types approved in the manual's appendix.
The EU datasheet states a 25-year product workmanship warranty and a 30-year power warranty, with no more than 1% loss in the first year and 0.4% per year from year 2 to 30; Trina's chart shows 87.4% of nameplate power after 30 years. Modules ship 36 to a box, so one pallet is one factory box, and 936 fit a 40ft container. TS4 Plus and TS4 connectors are listed, with MC4 EVO2 on special order.
Trina publishes no bifaciality or rear-gain values for the NEG9R.28, so its output is rated on the front side only. The glass rear is there for durability, not for extra yield.
No. The Vertex user manual names the NEG9R series among products for distributed systems and states that they must not be used in ground-mounted power plants.
The maximum series fuse rating is 25A. Short-circuit current at STC is between 10.74A and 10.93A depending on the power class.
Trina packs 36 NEG9R.28 modules per box and 936 per 40ft container.
