Who we areNew, original Haier products with full manufacturer warranty, supplied with their documentation.
The HHS-1X5K is the single-module configuration of Haier's HHS high-voltage storage: one B40012DP03-H LFP module with 5kWh nominal and 4.5kWh usable energy, a base and a control module. The built-in DC-DC converter supplies 350–450V to the inverter at 6A nominal. The system can grow to four modules (20kWh) and three systems can run in parallel. It is IP65, measures 653×597×189mm, weighs 67kg and carries a 10-year warranty.
Each HHS system consists of a base, one to four B40012DP03-H battery modules and a control module on top. Every module contains its own DC-DC converter that raises the LFP cell voltage to the 350–450V bus (400V nominal). This keeps currents low, at 6A nominal per module, and allows modules of different age or capacity to be combined, which Haier calls smart balance. A single system delivers 2.5kW per installed module, up to 10kW with four.
The usable energy is 90% of nominal: 4.5kWh for the 5kWh system and 18kWh for 20kWh. Up to three HHS systems can be connected in parallel for 60kWh. Haier recommends a DC combiner box for the power conductors of a parallel system; only the master unit communicates with the inverter over CAN or RS485, while the systems are linked through their COM0 and COM1 ports. Each cluster is switched on and off independently.
The control module talks to the inverter over CAN or RS485. In the PowerLite app the installer selects the inverter protocol; the manual lists Haier HV, GoodWe ET, Ferroamp ESO and a default HHS CAN protocol, and notes that the battery can also adapt to the inverter automatically. Check the battery compatibility list of the inverter manufacturer before ordering.
Inverter and battery are separate units. The base stands on level ground 35mm from the wall, modules of 52kg are stacked and fixed with L-brackets to the wall, and the control module closes the stack; the 5kWh system measures 653×597×189mm and weighs 67kg, the 20kWh system 653×1542×189mm and 223kg. The enclosure is IP65 for indoor or outdoor use, with natural cooling.
Operating range is -10…+50°C for charging and -20…+50°C for discharging. Haier recommends a temperature-controlled location between 15°C and 40°C for full performance, because the battery limits its current outside this range. Below 0°C the cells are heated above 5°C before charging starts, and above 80% SOC the charging power is reduced progressively.
Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connect the system to the PowerLite app, where it is assigned to a plant and the inverter protocol is set; a LAN port serves maintenance. If the system is not used, Haier asks for a maintenance charge every six months and storage at 45–55% SOC with the output disconnected, because the BMS keeps drawing a small current. Status LEDs on the control module show the state of each battery module.
Yes. Each system takes one to four modules and Haier states that new and old modules can be mixed thanks to the per-module DC-DC converter. For more than 20kWh, up to three systems can be paralleled.
High-voltage hybrid inverters using CAN or RS485. The manual lists settings for Haier HV, GoodWe ET and Ferroamp ESO inverters plus a default protocol.
Yes, the enclosure is IP65 and rated for indoor or outdoor use. The manual asks to avoid direct sunlight, rain, snow, flood-prone areas and places exposed to vehicle impact.
10 years, with a cycle life of more than 6000 cycles at 25°C, 0.5C and 90% depth of discharge to 70% end of life.
