Who we areNew, original FuturaSun products with full manufacturer warranty, supplied with their documentation.
A pallet of 31 FuturaSun Silk Pro Orange FU 250 M modules, 7.75kWp in total, for tiled roofs and historic buildings where a dark array would stand out. Each 1,755×1,038×35mm module weighs 19.7kg and carries 120 half-cut PERC cells behind orange-tinted glass, framed in the same terracotta colour. It is rated 250Wp at 13.72% efficiency, with 40.77V Voc and 7.63A Isc. FuturaSun quotes a design load of 3600Pa for snow and 1600Pa for wind, a 15-year product warranty and 87% of rated power after 25 years.
Silk Pro Orange is the version of FuturaSun's 120-cell Silk Pro module made for roofs where a dark array is not acceptable: Italian terracotta tile roofs, historic centres and listed buildings. The 3.2mm tempered, low-iron glass is tinted orange-terracotta and the anodised frame is varnished in the same shade, close to RAL 8023, so the array blends with clay tiles. The tint costs output: the FU 250 M reaches 250Wp at 13.72% efficiency.
Behind the glass are 120 monocrystalline half-cut PERC cells of 166×83mm with multi-busbar ribbons, a white multilayer back sheet and an IP68 junction box with three bypass diodes to IEC 62790. The module measures 1,755×1,038×35mm and weighs 19.7kg. At STC it gives 40.77V Voc and 7.63A Isc; at NOCT 189W. Maximum system voltage is 1000V (1500V on request) and the maximum reverse current 25A.
Modules must be fixed at four points at least, with clamps at least 50mm long or with stainless bolts in the frame slots at 16–20Nm. Clamping 250–350mm from the module corners on the long side gives the certified 3600Pa design load; other zones allow less.
Leave at least 10mm between modules, keep the drainage holes free and never drill the frame. FuturaSun limits installation to 2000m altitude and requires written approval for pre-assembled mounting systems. FuturaSun also offers matching orange middle and end clamps. Fire classification is Class C (UL 790) and ignitability Class E (IEC 61730-2).
FuturaSun gives a 15-year product warranty and a 25-year performance warranty guaranteeing 97% of rated power at the end of year one, 90% after 20 years and 87% after 25 years. The datasheet lists 31–34 modules per pallet and 845 modules (26 pallets) per 40ft HC container.
The orange-tinted glass filters part of the light reaching the cells, so a 120-cell module of this size is rated 250Wp at 13.72% efficiency. It is chosen for appearance and planning approval, not for maximum output per square metre.
FuturaSun describes it as similar to RAL 8023 and notes that the perceived colour may vary with installation, light and reflections.
Yes. The anodised aluminium frame is varnished in the same orange-terracotta tone as the glass, and FuturaSun offers matching orange clamps.
15 years on the product and 25 years on performance: 97% after year one, 90% after year 20 and 87% after year 25.
