Overview

A single pallet of 36 Suntech STP450S-H48-Nfb+ modules adds up to 16.2kWp. This Black Pro version of Ultra T 2.0 is monofacial: 96 n-type TOPCon half cells sit behind 2.0mm glass on both sides with an all-black look, giving 450Wp at 22.5% efficiency, 29.86V Vmp, 15.08A Imp, 35.44V Voc and 15.97A Isc. At 1,762×1,134×30mm and 24.0kg the module keeps a residential size. Suntech's pallet measures 1,790×1,120×1,260mm and weighs 910kg.

Product overview

Ultra T 2.0 is Suntech's n-type TOPCon module range with half-cut cells and multi-busbar interconnection, offered in 48-, 54- and 66-cell versions. The STPXXXS-H48-Nfb+ is the Black Pro version: a monofacial double-glass module with an all-black appearance, designed to blend into building roofs. It uses 96 half cells in a 1,762×1,134×30mm format with 2.0mm anti-reflective front glass and 2.0mm heat-strengthened back glass.

Ratings and packing

The H48-Nfb+ covers 445–465W at up to 23.3% efficiency, with a Pmax temperature coefficient of -0.28%/°C, 1500V DC system voltage under IEC and a 35A series fuse rating. Suntech rates it for 5400Pa front and 2400Pa rear static test load and lists IEC 61701 salt-mist, IEC 62716 ammonia and IEC 60068-2-68 sand and dust certification. Standard connectors are STP-PV4 type, with MC4-EVO2A as an option.

Packing is 36 modules per pallet and 936 per 40ft high-cube container. According to the datasheet a full pallet measures 1,790×1,120×1,260mm and weighs 910kg, so the delivery site needs a forklift or pallet truck and firm, level ground for unloading and storage.

Installation notes from the manual

Suntech's installation manual sizes voltage, current, fuse and control ratings with a reference safety factor of 1.25, asks for at least 10cm between modules and roof surface, a tilt of no less than 10° so rain can clean the glass, and an altitude of no more than 2000m. Clamps must overlap the frame by at least 10mm, and drilling the frame is prohibited.

For coastal projects Suntech defines three zones: within 50m of the shore its technical team must evaluate the solution, from 50m to 500m the installation counts as offshore and follows the specific rules in the manual, and beyond 500m only annual preventive maintenance is required.
