Overview

FLA48460TG2-EU is the most powerful 51.2V battery in the FLA family: 23.5kWh in one floor-standing unit of 570×250×980mm and 186.5kg. It supplies 250A continuously, 12.5kW, and 500A for 15s. Up to 15 units can be paralleled for 352.5kWh. Communication is RS485 or CAN, with built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for monitoring. It is rated for at least 6,000 cycles at 90% depth of discharge and ships with power and communication cables.

How it works

These models extend the FLA-EU low-voltage range with new housings: the WG1 is a 10.5kWh pack for wall or floor mounting, the TG2 versions are floor-standing towers of 14.3kWh and 23.5kWh, the 14.3kWh one on wheels. Each unit is a complete 51.2V LiFePO4 battery with BMS, DC breaker, externally replaceable fuse, aerosol fire extinguisher and LCD, connected to a 48V inverter over CAN or RS485.

Up to 15 identical packs can run in parallel, each with its address set on DIP switches and linked by the black parallel communication cable. The manuals recommend a battery combiner box or copper busbar for paralleled packs, prohibit series connection, and advise against mixing models or old and new batteries.

Key features

FLA48206WG1-EU supplies 160A continuously and 300A for 15s, FLA48280TG2-EU 150A and 200A, and FLA48460TG2-EU 250A and 500A, the highest current in the FLA family. Depth of discharge is 95% or more. The 14.3kWh tower is rated for at least 8,000 cycles at 25°C, the other two for at least 6,000. On the WG1 and 280TG2 the breaker includes MX+OF accessories in addition to the BMS and fuse protection.

Installation and compatibility

The batteries are rated IP21 and intended for indoor installation away from direct sunlight, wind, conductive dust, corrosive gases and sea air, on level ground below 2000m. They charge from 0°C to 55°C and discharge from -20°C to 55°C. A grey RS485 cable for Felicitysolar inverters, a blue cable for other brands, two power cables and a spare fuse are supplied.

Felicitysolar publishes CAN communication guides for its low-voltage batteries with Victron, SolaX, Solis, SOFAR, Luxpower, Megarevo and Sol-Ark inverters. Without BMS communication the manuals give 57.6V charge and float voltage, with a cut-off of 44.8V for the WG1 and 280TG2 and 48V for the 460TG2.

Monitoring and settings

Built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth let the battery report to the Fsolar app and web portal when the inverter is not a Felicitysolar model; with Felicitysolar inverters the data are read over the BMS link. The LCD shows voltage, current or power, state of charge and fault codes, and the state of charge recalibrates after a full charge and discharge cycle.
