Overview

The EVT2000SE is Envertech's four-module microinverter, the largest of the EVT1600SE/1800SE/2000SE series. It delivers 2000VA continuous at 9.09A on a 220/230V single-phase supply, with four independent MPP trackers each taking a 250W to 650W+ module at up to 20A. One unit covers a four-module array, and two units on a 12AWG branch, or three on 10AWG, cover eight to twelve modules. Peak efficiency is 96.0%; the IP67 unit weighs 4.92kg and connects through trunk cables.

  • One MPPT per module, 22–50V tracking range
  • Low DC voltage: 60V maximum input
  • Built-in Wi-Fi plus power-line communication
  • IP67, -40…+65°C, high-frequency isolated
  • 15-year warranty, 5-year extension available
  • EN 50549-1 and VDE-AR-N 4105 listed

How it works

An Envertech microinverter sits on the rail beneath the modules and converts their DC output directly into 220/230V single-phase AC. Each module has its own MPP tracker working between 22V and 50V, so shading, soiling or a different orientation on one panel does not pull down the others. DC wiring stays at module level, with 60V as the highest input voltage, instead of a high-voltage string running across the roof.

This range covers three sizes: EVT500 for one module, EVT1000 for two and EVT2000SE for four, each module rated from 250W to 650W+. The housings are IP67, high-frequency isolated, protective class I and specified for full operation from -40°C to +65°C ambient.

B and R versions

Envertech builds the EVT500 and EVT1000 in several connection versions. The B version is meant for single plug-in installations such as balconies and gardens: it needs no end cap and is connected through an extension cable and plug. The R version uses a hand-in-hand AC connection, so several units can be chained on one branch; an end cap closes the unused connector. The EVT2000SE connects through Envertech trunk cables and T-connectors.

Installation and compatibility

The manual asks for the units to be mounted under the modules, sheltered from rain and sun with the LED visible, and for microinverters and modules to be grounded through the mounting bracket. Branch size must follow the datasheet: five EVT1000 R, ten EVT500 R, or two EVT2000SE on a 12AWG branch (three on 10AWG). Check that module Voc stays below 60V and Isc below 25A before connecting.

The datasheets list compliance with EN 50549-1/10, VDE-AR-N 4105, IEC 61727, IEC 62116, NC-RfG, C10/11, TOR and the LVD, EMC and RED directives. Envertech publishes an EN 50549-1 certificate and a VDE-AR-N 4105 certificate covering the EVT500 and EVT1000; grid connection still requires the utility's approval.

Monitoring and warranty

Units with built-in Wi-Fi connect to a 2.4GHz network and are set up in the EnverView app over Bluetooth or the inverter's own hotspot; data then appears in EnverView and on EnvertecPortal. As an alternative, an optional EnverBridge EVB300 gateway reads the inverters over the power line. The standard warranty is 15 years for the microinverter, 3 years for the Wi-Fi module, with a 5-year extension available within two years of installation; registration is needed for the full term.

Questions and answers

Do I need a gateway to monitor the microinverters?

No, not for the Wi-Fi versions: they connect directly to a 2.4GHz router and are configured in the EnverView app. The EnverBridge EVB300 is an optional power-line gateway sold separately.

How many microinverters can share one AC branch?

On a 12AWG branch Envertech allows ten EVT500 R, five EVT1000 R or two EVT2000SE units; with 10AWG cable three EVT2000SE. The B versions are plug-in single units.

Which modules can I connect?

Envertech recommends modules from 250W to 650W+ per input, with a voltage below 60V and a short-circuit current within 25A. Check module Vmp against the 22–50V MPPT range.

What warranty applies?

15 years on the microinverter and 3 years on the built-in Wi-Fi module, after registration on the Envertech warranty system; unregistered products made after 1 June 2023 get the 2-year legal warranty. A 5-year extension can be bought within two years of installation.
