An Italian company selling batteries, inverters and solar equipment since 2015. Registered office in Sigillo (Perugia), VAT IT03894170541.
Who we areNew, original APSystems products with full manufacturer warranty, supplied with their documentation.
QS2 is APsystems' single-phase quad microinverter: one 2200VA unit serves four PV modules, each on an independent MPP tracker with 20A operating and 25A short-circuit current, so one device serves as many modules as two dual-module units. Nominal output is 9.6A at 230V, peak efficiency 96%. It weighs 6.6kg in a 365×272×40.6mm IP67 housing. Two units fit on a 4mm² bus cable branch, and APsystems designs it for residential and small-to-medium commercial rooftops.
The QS2 replaces four single-module microinverters with one unit. Each of its four DC inputs has its own MPP tracker working between 28 and 48V, so modules on different orientations or with partial shading are optimised separately. Operating voltage runs from 26 to 60V and the maximum input is 60V, which keeps DC wiring at low voltage and, according to APsystems, meets rapid-shutdown requirements by design. Output is 2200VA at 230V, 9.6A nominal, with Reactive Power Control and an adjustable power factor.
Each channel accepts 20A operating and 25A short-circuit current, matching current high-power modules. Peak efficiency is 96% and MPPT efficiency 99.5%, with 20mW night consumption. Components are silicone-encapsulated in an IP67, fanless housing rated for -40 to +65°C ambient, with derating possible where ventilation is poor. Galvanically isolated high-frequency transformers and an integrated protection relay are part of the design. APsystems presents the QS2 as compatible with DS3 and QS1 systems, useful for upgrades and mixed installations.
The QS2 connects to the APsystems Y3 single-phase AC bus cable; the datasheet allows two units per 4mm² bus cable branch, subject to local limits. Leave at least 1.5cm above and below the housing, keep DC leads within 3m and connect each module to a single channel. Grounding works through the bus cable PE wire, the grounding washer on a grounded rack or an external lug. Bipolar breakers are mandatory; RCDs only where local code requires them.
The EMEA datasheet lists EN 50549-1/-10, NF EN 50549-1/-10, UNE 217001, UNE 217002, NTS and G98/G99 among its grid compliances, and APsystems publishes the matching certificates. CEI 0-21 and VDE-AR-N 4105 are not in that list, so check national grid-code approval before planning an Italian or German connection.
Each channel is monitored separately. Data travels over encrypted ZigBee to an APsystems ECU and from there to the EMA web portal and EMA Manager app; APsystems recommends no more than 80 inverters per ECU. The standard warranty is 12 years and can be extended to 25, provided the system stays connected to EMA through the ECU; without that connection only the 2-year legal warranty applies.
Four, one per input channel, each with its own MPPT. Each channel connects one module with an open-circuit voltage below 60V.
The datasheet states two units per 4mm² AC bus cable branch. Local regulations may set lower limits.
Neither standard appears in the compliance list of the EMEA datasheet or in the published QS2 certificate set, which covers EN 50549, French and Spanish grid codes. Ask APsystems for the current status before installing in Italy or Germany.
Yes. APsystems describes the QS2 as compatible with DS3 and QS1 installations; both use the Y3 single-phase bus cable and the same ECU and EMA monitoring.
