A full pallet of 37 Aiko Neostar 3S+54 AIKO-A480-MCE54Db modules, 17.76kWp in total. The third-generation full-black module puts 108 ABC cells between two 2.0mm glass sheets in 1,762×1,134×30mm and weighs 24.2kg. It delivers 480Wp at 24.0% efficiency, 40.90V Voc and 14.80A Isc, with 505W quoted at BNPI. At 480W it is the lowest bin that qualifies for Aiko's 30-year product warranty. Fire Class A and a 30A series fuse rating complete the data.

Third-generation ABC

Neostar 3 uses Aiko's third-generation all-back-contact cells, marketed as Infinite, with every contact on the rear of the n-type wafer and nothing printed on the front. The format grows slightly to 1762×1134×30mm and the power bins rise: the 480–500W classes reach 24.0–25.0% module efficiency. The Pmax coefficient remains -0.26%/°C and Voc -0.22%/°C, so hot-roof losses stay moderate.

Three versions

Neostar 3S54 (AIKO-A-MCE54Mb) is a full-black mono-glass module: 3.2mm tempered glass, weather-resistant backsheet, black anodised frame, 21.1kg, fire Class C and a 25A series fuse rating. Neostar 3S+54 (AIKO-A-MCE54Db) has 2.0mm semi-tempered glass on both faces, weighs 24.2kg, is rated fire Class A, accepts a 30A series fuse and lists BNPI ratings for rear-side gain.

Neostar 3P54 (AIKO-A-MCE54Mw) is the black-frame mono-glass version offered up to 500W and 25.0% efficiency. All three share IP68 junction boxes with three bypass diodes, 1200mm leads of 4mm² cable with MC4-EVO2A connectors, a 1500V DC system rating, 5400Pa front and 2400Pa rear static load and 37 modules per standard pallet.

Installation notes

Aiko's manual tabulates permitted bolt and clamp positions for each module type; the full 5400/2400Pa rating applies only to those positions, and some clamp layouts are rated much lower. On roofs leave at least 10cm under the frame, keep all modules in an array at the same orientation and tilt, and do not drill or modify frames, which voids the warranty.

If more than two strings are connected in parallel, each string needs its own overcurrent protection. Connectors reach IP68 only when both halves are mated, so Aiko advises connecting them soon after mounting and keeping them off the roof surface. Mono-glass backsheets need no cleaning; dual-glass rear faces should be cleaned when soiled.

Warranty split

Aiko spreads this range across three warranties. Full-black 3S54 and 3S+54 modules of 480W and above get 30 years on the product under the Full-black Gen 3 Infinite warranty; lower bins of the same models get 25 years under the residential warranty. The 3P54 falls under the distributed-module warranty with 15 years, extendable as a paid option. All carry a 30-year linear power warranty ending at 88.85%.
