A pallet of 37 Trina Solar Vertex S+ G3 TSM-485NEG9RP.28Z modules, 17.945kWp in total, matching the 37-piece box of Trina's global 2026-B datasheet. The 485Wp class tops the range at 24.3% efficiency in the 1,762×1,134×30mm format. Its 150-cell, low-voltage design gives 37.90V Voc and 16.08A Isc, with 32.30V and 15.04A at maximum power, and a Pmax coefficient of -0.26%/°C. Check that the inverter accepts about 20A per input after the manual's 1.25 factor.
The NEG9RP.28Z is the third generation of Trina Solar's Vertex S+ residential-size module. It keeps the 1,762×1,134×30mm format but uses 150 n-type i-TOPCon Ultra cells arranged without visible gaps on the front, between two 1.6mm heat-strengthened glass sheets in a black anodised frame. Trina describes a low-voltage, high-current architecture that allows long strings, aimed at commercial rooftops but also suitable for homes. For ground-mounted use the datasheet asks buyers to consult Trina.
The power range is 465–485Wp with a 0/+5W power selection and 23.3–24.3% efficiency. Open-circuit voltage is only 37.1–37.9V, while short-circuit current is 15.96–16.08A, so a string can hold about 40% more modules than with a 144-cell module of about 54V Voc. The Pmax temperature coefficient is -0.26%/°C, Voc -0.24%/°C and Isc +0.04%/°C, with NOCT 43±2°C, 1500V DC system voltage and a 30A series fuse rating.
The Vertex user manual includes the NEG9RP.28Z: with four clamps on the long frame and rails across it, the clamp centrelines go in the 300–350mm zone, rated for 3600Pa uplift and 5400Pa downforce; bolted mounting with rails parallel to the short side uses holes 1100mm apart. Cables and fuses are sized with 1.25 times the marked Isc, about 20A for the 485W class, so inverter inputs must accept that current.
Trina publishes two datasheets with near-identical electrical data and the same 30-year power warranty and 0.35% annual degradation (88.85% after 30 years). The EU preliminary version (2026-PA3) lists 21.1kg, a 4000Pa negative test load, a 25-year product warranty and 36 modules per box, 936 per container. The global 2026-B version lists 21.7kg, 6.0mm² cables, 3600Pa negative load, a 15-year product warranty and 37 per box, 962 per container.
The 150-cell layout is designed for low voltage and high current: Voc is 37.9V at 485W. At the same inverter voltage limit, more modules fit in a string.
Yes. Isc is about 16A, and the manual's 1.25 factor gives about 20A, which the inverter's MPPT input must accept.
Trina's datasheet asks buyers to consult its sales team before using the module in ground-mounted installations.
36 according to the EU preliminary datasheet and 37 according to the global 2026-B datasheet.
