This pallet carries 36 LONGi LR7-54HVD-480M modules, 17.28kWp in total. The 54-cell dual-glass Hi-MO X10 Scientist combines HPBC 2.0 back-contact cells with 2.0mm front and 1.6mm rear semi-tempered glass, giving 70±5% bifaciality in a 1,800×1,134×30mm module of 23.5kg. Each panel delivers 480Wp at 23.52% efficiency, 40.53V Voc and 14.98A Isc; LONGi's table puts it at 528W with 10% rear-side gain. It suits flat roofs, pergolas and carports where light reaches the rear face.

How the Hi-MO X10 Scientist works

Hi-MO X10 is LONGi's back-contact range for distributed generation. Its HPBC 2.0 cells sit on n-type TaiRay wafers and carry both electrical contacts on the rear, so the front of the cell has no busbars or fingers and the whole surface collects light. The datasheets give a Pmax temperature coefficient of -0.26%/°C and a Voc coefficient of -0.20%/°C.

LONGi also designs the module for partial shading, a common situation on roofs with chimneys, dormers or vents. It cites a TÜV shading test report for lower output loss under shade, and IEC 61215 hot-spot testing in which shaded Hi-MO X10 cells ran more than 60°C cooler than those of conventional modules.

Three versions in this range

LR7-54HVH is the compact monofacial module: 108 half cells, 1,800×1,134×30mm, 3.2mm coated tempered glass, 21.6kg and 480–505W at up to 24.74% efficiency. LR7-54HVD shares the footprint but uses 2.0mm front and 1.6mm rear semi-tempered glass, weighs 23.5kg and covers 475–500W with 70±5% bifaciality.

LR7-60HVD is the 60-cell dual-glass version: 120 half cells, 1,990×1,134×30mm, 2.0+2.0mm semi-tempered glass, 28kg and 530–555W. Both bifacial models allow a 30A series fuse, the monofacial LR7-54HVH 25A. All three use an IP68 junction box with three diodes, 4mm² cables and a 30mm anodised aluminium frame.

Mounting rules from the manual

In LONGi's installation manual these three models are approved for clamp mounting only; the bolt-hole methods are marked as not recommended. On the 54-cell modules, clamps on the long frame 250–350mm from the ends give 5400Pa front and 2400Pa rear test load. For LR7-60HVD the clamp zone is 350–450mm. The datasheets state a minimum design load of 1600Pa on both faces.

Keep at least 10cm between frame and roof surface on roof-parallel systems and 10mm between modules. Clamps must be at least 50mm long with 10–12mm overlap, must not shade the cells or cover drain holes, and must never touch the glass. LONGi forbids drilling the frame, which voids the limited warranty.

Electrical design and warranty

All versions are rated for 1500V DC systems, protection class II and fire rating IEC Class C. Size strings from Voc at the lowest site temperature, never mix power ratings or connector brands in one string, and fuse each string when more than two run in parallel. LONGi guarantees 99% power in year one and at most 0.35% loss a year after, at least 88.85% in year 30, with a 15-year product warranty.
