Weco SKT100-S100kW three-phase string inverter, 8 MPPT

Overview

The SKT100-S is a 100kW three-phase string inverter for commercial and industrial plants, with eight MPP trackers and two strings on each, sixteen strings in total. Five trackers accept 32A and three accept 40A, and up to 150kWp of PV can be connected at 1100V maximum. Maximum apparent power is 111kVA, European efficiency 98.0%, and PV string monitoring is built in, with AFCI and PID recovery as options.

How it works

The SKT100-S and SKT110-S are transformerless string inverters for large rooftops and ground-mounted plants. The SKT100-S has eight MPP trackers and the SKT110-S nine, each with two strings; input current is 32A on most trackers and 40A on three of them, with 45A and 50A short-circuit current respectively. The operating range is 200–1000V, start-up 250V and maximum input 1100V.

PV array power can reach 150% of the AC rating. Maximum apparent power is 111kVA and 123kVA, with output currents of 3×168.8A and 3×187A. The AC voltage window is 320–520V and the frequency window 45–55Hz or 55–65Hz, both adjustable; power factor is above 0.99 at rated power and adjustable from 0.8 leading to 0.8 lagging, with THDi below 3%.

Key features

Maximum efficiency is 98.5% on the SKT100-S and 98.6% on the SKT110-S, with European efficiency of 98.0% and 98.2%. PV string monitoring is standard, while AFCI, PID recovery and night-time load consumption monitoring are optional. Type II surge arresters on DC and AC, a DC switch, anti-islanding, insulation detection and leakage current protection are integrated.

Installation and compatibility

Both models measure 936×678×365mm and weigh 91.5kg and 92kg, with IP66 protection, fan cooling, a −25 to +60°C operating range and 4000m maximum altitude; night self-consumption is below 10W. Grid code certification covers EN 50549-1/-2, IEC 61727/62116, VDE-AR-N 4105, CEI 0-21 and CEI 0-16, UNE 206006/206007-1 and UNE 217001, with IEC 62109-1/-2 for safety.

Monitoring and settings

RS485 is standard and Wi-Fi, GPRS, 4G or LAN modules are optional. Status is shown on LEDs, with an optional LCD, and the WeCo mobile app provides real-time monitoring of performance and energy over the wireless link. WeCo gives a five-year warranty on both models, as stated in the datasheet.
