Overview

A pallet of 36 TCL Solar T Class HSM-ND66-GR620 modules, 22.32kWp in total. Each 132-cell n-type TOPCon panel is rated 620Wp at 23.0% efficiency, with 48.94V Voc, 16.05A Isc and 40.98V at the maximum power point. The glass-glass build is bifacial: TCL gives 685W per module with 135W/m² on the rear. At 2,382×1,134mm and 32.6kg, with a 30A series fuse rating and 1500V system voltage, the format targets commercial roofs, carports and ground-mounted arrays.

Module design

T Class HSM-ND66-GR is the large-format TOPCon module of TCL Solar, the module brand of TCL SunPower Global. Each panel carries 132 half-cut n-type cells between two 2.0mm heat-strengthened glass sheets, with an anti-reflective coating on the front glass, an anodised aluminium frame 30mm deep and an IP68 junction box with three bypass diodes.

The footprint is 2,382×1,134×30mm and the weight 32.6kg. The datasheet lists five power classes from 610Wp to 630Wp with positive-only binning (0/+3%) and efficiencies from 22.6% to 23.3%. Under BNPI conditions (135W/m² on the rear) TCL rates the modules between 674W and 696W.

Electrical design notes

Maximum system voltage is 1500V under IEC and the maximum series fuse 30A. Temperature coefficients are -0.28%/°C for power, -0.24%/°C for voltage and +0.045%/°C for current; operating temperature is rated -40…+70°C to IEC TS 63126. TCL asks installers to multiply Isc and Voc by 1.25 when rating components, conductors and fuses, and to use the datasheet Voc coefficient when checking string voltage against the inverter limit.

Installation notes from the manual

The modules can be mounted with four M6 or M8 stainless bolts in the factory holes, with clamps or by end mounting. With rails perpendicular to the long side and clamps 426–526mm from the corners, the design load is 3600Pa downward and 1600Pa upward (test load 5400/2400Pa). Clamps must be at least 50mm wide, stay 50mm away from corners and never exceed 15Nm.

TCL recommends at least 5° tilt to reduce soiling, 50mm clearance above the roof surface and 5mm between modules, and limits installation to 2000m altitude. The modules passed IEC 61701 salt-mist and IEC 62716 ammonia tests, but sites in direct contact with salt water are excluded. Drilling extra holes in the frame is not allowed.

Warranty and packaging

Under the TCL limited warranty for modules sold through distributors, HSM-ND66-GR modules have a 25-year product warranty and a 30-year power warranty: at least 99% of the minimum peak power in year one, then 0.4% less each year, down to 87.4% in year 30. A pallet holds 36 modules; a 40ft HQ container carries 20 pallets, or 720 modules.
