Overview

The ASW50K-LT-G3 is a 50kW three-phase string inverter for commercial PV systems. Five MPP trackers, each with two strings, accept up to 75kWp of PV; trackers 1 and 4 take 40A and the other three 32A. MPP tracking runs from 200 to 1000V, 500–850V at full power. Maximum output current is 83.6A and Solplanet recommends a 100A AC breaker. The 42.5kg IP66 unit has Type II surge protection on both DC and AC sides and reaches 98.6% maximum efficiency.

How it works

The LT-G3 45–60kW is a transformerless string inverter for 220/380V and 230/400V three-phase grids. Each tracker takes two strings and the design is fuse-free; trackers 1 and 4 accept 40A and the others 32A, which suits high-current bifacial modules. Input voltage may reach 1100V, MPP tracking runs from 200 to 1000V (500–850V at full power) and feed-in starts at 250V. Maximum efficiency is 98.6% and European efficiency 98.3%.

Maximum output current is 75.2A, 83.6A and 95.3A for the 45, 50 and 60kW models, and PV arrays of up to 67.5, 75 and 90kWp can be connected. Solplanet recommends AC circuit breakers of 100A for the 45 and 50kW units and 125A for the 60kW unit, one per inverter and with no loads connected between breaker and inverter.

Installation and compatibility

The 670×640×270mm housing weighs 42.5kg and hangs on a wall bracket; the wall must carry four times the inverter weight and Solplanet recommends ambient temperatures below 45°C. AC conductors of 30–70mm² copper connect through OT/DT terminals, and DC strings use plug-in connectors for 2.5–6mm² cable. TN-S, TN-C, TN-C-S and TT grids are supported. Certificates include CEI 0-21, EN 50549-1, EN 50549-2, VDE-AR-N 4105 and IEC 62109.

Monitoring and settings

A Wi-Fi stick is included; one Wi-Fi or LTE Cat-1 stick can serve up to five inverters, and larger plants use the Ai-Logger, which is also required for demand response (DRED) support. Export limitation needs an approved smart meter on RS485, and the SunSpec Modbus protocol is available for third-party monitoring and control. A ripple control receiver or NS protection device connects to the RJ45 interface. AFCI is optional.
