Who we areNew, original Solis products with full manufacturer warranty, supplied with their documentation.
A residential grid-tied kit with a 3.54kWp PV array, a Solis S6-GR1P3K-M single-phase string inverter and DC and AC protection boxes. The inverter delivers 3kW, with 3.3kVA maximum apparent power, and Solis recommends up to 4.5kW of PV for it, so the array is within range on its single MPPT. A low 90V start-up voltage and an 80–500V MPPT window suit a small home roof; export control and optional AFCI are available.
These kits are plain grid-tied systems: PV modules feed a Solis string inverter that supplies the building's loads and exports any surplus. There is no battery input, which keeps the system simple and inexpensive for daytime self-consumption. The residential kit pairs 3.54kWp with the single-phase S6-GR1P3K-M; the commercial kit pairs 31.86kWp with the three-phase S5-GC25K, both within the recommended maximum PV power that Solis publishes.
The S6-GR1P3K-M has one MPPT for up to two strings, an 80–500V MPPT range, 550V maximum input voltage and 19A input current, and delivers 3kW and 3.3kVA at 220/230V. The S5-GC25K has three MPPTs for two strings each at 32A, a 200–1000V MPPT range and 1100V maximum input voltage, and delivers 25kW, 27.5kVA at 230/400V with 98.5% maximum efficiency. Both are IP66 and work from -25…+60°C.
Solis lists DC reverse polarity, short-circuit, output overcurrent and anti-islanding protection and grid monitoring on both inverters. AFCI is optional on the S6-GR1P3K-M and integrated, with activation required, on the S5-GC25K. The S5-GC25K adds Type II surge protection on DC and AC, string monitoring and I-V curve scanning, and an optional night-time PID recovery. Grid standards in the datasheets include CEI 0-21, EN 50549-1, VDE-AR-N 4105/VDE V 0124, G99 and C10/11.
The installer provides mounting structures, DC cabling and any string protection, AC cabling with breaker and residual-current device, and an export meter where the site needs power limitation. Communication is RS485 as standard, with optional WiFi or GPRS loggers for remote monitoring and firmware upgrades through SolisCloud. A grid connection request to the local operator is required before commissioning.
Not to the inverter itself: the S6-GR1P3K-M and S5-GC25K have no battery input. Storage would need a separate AC-coupled system.
The S5-GC25K has three MPPTs, each accepting two strings, with up to 32A per MPPT and 40A short-circuit current.
Yes. Solis lists export power control for both inverters; it requires a compatible meter at the grid connection point.
Yes. Both inverters are rated IP66 and specified for -25…+60°C ambient temperature.
