Overview

The TP-LD150 (T-BAT-SYS-LV D150) is a 15kWh, 48V, 314Ah lithium iron phosphate battery in one floor-standing IP65 unit. It supplies 155A continuously and 310A for 10 seconds, and provides 13.5kWh usable at 90% depth of discharge. Up to 16 units connect in parallel, so a single unit suits a larger home and a row of units can serve 48V commercial systems. It weighs 125kg and measures 900×540×220mm.

How it works

The TP-LD150, sold as T-BAT-SYS-LV D150, packs 15kWh of lithium iron phosphate cells at 48V nominal (42–54V) into a single floor-standing unit. It is built from three 1P5S cell groups with 314Ah capacity and communicates with the inverter over CAN or RS485. Up to 16 units can be connected in parallel; one pack acts as master towards the inverter and DIP switches set the communication termination.

A black-start function lets the battery and storage inverter start and keep running when both the grid and the PV array are unavailable. Besides SolaX inverters, the user manual includes a chapter on connecting the battery to third-party inverters, covering capacity and power expansion wiring and the first commissioning sequence. The connected bi-directional inverter must be an isolated type.

Key features

Usable energy is 13.5kWh at 90% depth of discharge, measured at 0.5C and 25°C. Maximum charge and discharge current is 155A, varying with temperature and state of charge, and the unit delivers a peak of 310A for 10 seconds for motor starts and other inrush loads. SolaX states more than 6000 cycles at 90% depth of discharge and a 5-year warranty.

Operating range is 0°C to +55°C for charging and -20°C to +55°C for discharging, with natural cooling and IP65 protection. The battery is certified to IEC 62619 and CE and tested to UN 38.3. Remote fault diagnosis and firmware upgrades are supported through the SolaX platform.

Installation and compatibility

Each unit measures 900×540×220mm and weighs 125kg, so plan transport and handling equipment. It is designed for floor installation only, and up to sixteen units can stand in a straight line. SolaX specifies 350–500mm from the wall to the edge of the battery, 400–600mm between neighbouring units and 52–63mm from the back of the unit to the wall, on a solid brick or concrete wall at least 100mm thick.
