Overview

The HV11550H V3 is the heated follower pack of the SolaX T58 V3 system. It contains 5.8kWh of LFP cells at 115.2V but no BMS, so it is always installed in series with a T-BAT H 5.8H V3 master. Each follower adds 5.5kWh usable energy; up to five can join one master, giving 34.6kWh per string. With heating it charges and discharges from -30°C, and its 474×715×150mm housing matches the master for a uniform stack.

  • 5.8kWh LFP packs, 115.2V nominal each
  • Master pack with BMS plus up to five follower packs
  • 5.8–34.6kWh per string, 95% depth of discharge
  • Heated (H) versions charge and discharge from -30°C
  • IP66, wall or floor mounting, aerosol fire suppression
  • Over 6000 cycles, 10-year warranty

How it works

SolaX calls the system T-BAT-SYS-HV-5.8, or T58 for short. It is built from a leader-control BMS, an integrated unit that houses the battery management system together with its own 5.8kWh pack (T-BAT H 5.8 V3 or T-BAT H 5.8H V3), and optional follower packs (HV11550 V3 or HV11550H V3) that contain cells only. The master pack can run on its own as a complete battery system.

Follower packs are connected in series with the master, so every pack adds 115.2V and 5.8kWh. A string therefore ranges from 115.2V and 5.8kWh with one master to 691.2V and 34.6kWh with one master and five followers. Inverters with two battery ports can take two strings, which SolaX quotes as up to 12 packs and 69.1kWh.

Key features

Each pack uses lithium iron phosphate cells and delivers 5.5kWh usable at 95% depth of discharge. Rated charge and discharge power is 2.9kW per pack and the maximum is 4kW; the recommended current is 25A and the maximum 35A, which depends on temperature, state of charge and the number of packs. SolaX states more than 6000 cycles at 95% depth of discharge to 70% end of life, and a 10-year warranty.

The housing is IP66 with natural cooling and includes aerosol fire suppression. Standard versions charge from 0°C to +55°C and discharge from -20°C. The heated H versions use two-level heating and work from -30°C to +55°C in both directions. Below 0°C cell temperature a pack without heating can only discharge.

Installation and compatibility

Every pack measures 474×715×150mm; the master weighs 61.5kg and a follower 59.5kg. Packs mount on a wall or stand on the floor. The wall must be solid brick or concrete at least 100mm thick, and the support must carry four times the system weight. Leave 240–320mm (280mm recommended) at each side; the supplied battery-to-inverter power cables are 2000mm long. Outdoors, shield the packs from direct sun, rain and snow.

Combine a heated master with heated followers and a standard master with standard followers. The V3 packs cannot be used with the T-BAT-Charger or the BMS Parallel Box-II G2. The X3-HYB G4 PRO manual lists T58 V3 with 2–6 packs per battery terminal at up to 35A, and its CEI 0-21 certificate includes T-BAT H V3 configurations.

Monitoring and settings

The master pack talks to the inverter over CAN 2.0 and RS485 and shows state of charge and status on its indicator panel. Commissioning follows the inverter set-up; afterwards warnings and battery data can be checked on SolaXCloud, which also supports remote fault diagnosis and firmware upgrades. Before power-on the installer must fit the series-connected plug on the last pack and, on heated versions, the heat-port short-circuit plug.

Questions and answers

What is the difference between the master pack and the follower pack?

The master (T-BAT H 5.8 V3 or 5.8H V3) contains the BMS and a 5.8kWh battery pack and can work alone. The follower (HV11550 V3 or HV11550H V3) holds cells only and always needs a master in the same string.

How many packs can one string hold?

One master and up to five followers, from 5.8kWh to 34.6kWh at 115.2–691.2V. The number allowed also depends on the inverter: the X3-HYB G4 PRO accepts 2–6 packs per battery terminal.

Can I mix heated and non-heated packs?

SolaX recommends using a heated master only with heated followers and a standard master only with standard followers, so that the heating works correctly.

Does the V3 work with the BMS Parallel Box-II G2?

No. The manual states that T-BAT H 5.8 V3, 5.8H V3 and the HV11550 V3 packs cannot be used with the T-BAT-Charger or the BMS Parallel Box-II G2.
