Overview

The SE30K-RW00IBNM4 is the 30kW model of SolarEdge's Three Phase Commercial Inverter for Europe. It delivers 29,990W at 43.5A per phase on a 400/230V grid and accepts up to 52.5kW of PV at STC, 175% of its rated power, through SolarEdge commercial power optimisers. Strings run at a fixed voltage in the 680–1000V range, with 15 to 30 S1000, S1200 or S1500 optimisers each. Peak efficiency is 98.3%, Type II DC surge protection is integrated and the 32kg IP65 unit is commissioned through SetApp. SolarEdge recommends a 63A breaker.

How it works

These inverters work only with SolarEdge power optimisers, which track the maximum power point of each module or pair of modules and let the inverter keep a fixed string voltage inside its 680–1000V window. Strings can therefore be longer, and parallel strings may differ in length or orientation. The inverter feeds 400/230V three-phase AC through a 3W+PE or 4W+PE connection and passes module-level data to the SolarEdge monitoring platform.

Key features

The SE30K delivers 29.99kW and the SE33.3K 33.3kW, with 43.5A and 48.25A per phase and maximum DC power of 52.5kW and 58.275kW. Both use a 32kg housing 550mm high, 317mm wide and 273mm deep, with a user-replaceable fan and less than 62dBA of noise. Type II DC surge protection is integrated and field replaceable, Type II AC and RS485 surge protection are options, arc-fault protection is built in, and rapid shutdown is available on dedicated part numbers.

Installation and compatibility

SolarEdge's installation guide recommends a 63A circuit breaker for both the SE30K and the SE33.3K. The optional DC Safety Unit adds a 2-pole 1000V/48.25A disconnect and optional 25A or 30A string fuses, raising the height to 836mm and the weight to 36.5kg. Only Stäubli MC4 connectors are approved on the four MC4 input pairs. An external RCD, where required, must trip at 100mA or more. Clearances follow SolarEdge's guidelines for multiple inverter mounting.

Monitoring and settings

Grid connection standards listed include CEI 0-21, CEI 0-16, VDE-AR-N 4105, VDE-AR-N 4110, EN 50549-1 and -2, Tor Erzeuger Typ A, G99 and VFR 2019; under VDE-AR-N 4110 the SE33.3K is treated as a 30kW unit. SetApp commissions the inverter through its Wi-Fi access point. Two RS485 ports and Ethernet are built in, Wi-Fi and cellular are optional, and export limitation is available.
