Who we areNew, original SolarEdge products with full manufacturer warranty, supplied with their documentation.
The BAT-05K48M0W-01 is the SolarEdge Home Battery 48V (W), a 4.85kWh lithium iron phosphate module approved for installation in Germany and Austria. It works with SolarEdge Home Hub Inverters Three Phase and stacks with up to three more modules in a single tower, for 19.4kWh per inverter, using Quick Connect plugs rather than module cables. A single module charges at 2825W and discharges at 4096W, two or more reach 5000W. The 50.5kg, 725mm-wide module needs the floor stand and top cover kit and carries a 10-year warranty.
The Home Battery 48V (W) is a low-voltage lithium iron phosphate module for DC-coupled storage on SolarEdge Home Hub Inverters Three Phase (SE*K-RWB48). Modules are stacked into one tower and joined through Quick Connect plugs, so no cables run between them; only the top cover is wired to the inverter with DC, ground and communication cables. RS485 links the modules, CAN bus carries data to the inverter, and the battery is configured automatically in SetApp.
Each module provides 4850Wh of usable energy at 100% depth of discharge over a 44.8–57.6V range. A single module charges at 2825W and discharges at 4096W; from two modules upwards both directions reach 5000W, and four modules give 19.4kWh per inverter. Peak round-trip efficiency exceeds 95.4%. The IP65/NEMA 3R enclosure is cooled by natural convection and stays below 25dBA. Power is derated above 40°C and below 15°C internal temperature, with internal heating for cold charging.
SolarEdge approves this version for installation in Germany and Austria only. The accessory kit IAC-RBAT-5KWACC-01, with floor stand and top cover, is mandatory for each tower, and only one tower is allowed per inverter. Each module weighs 50.5kg and is also secured to the wall with two brackets, so the guide calls for at least two qualified installers. The inverter connection uses cable set IAC-RBAT-5KCINV-01, and a full four-module tower with stand and cover is 1735.5mm high.
After power-up the inverter detects the tower and SetApp completes the configuration without manual battery settings. State of charge, power flows and alerts are shown in the SolarEdge monitoring platform and app together with PV production. Backup is available for residential installations only, subject to local regulations, and may need extra components and a firmware upgrade.
The (W) version stacks up to four 4.85kWh modules in one tower with Quick Connect plugs instead of module cables and needs a floor stand. It is approved only for Germany and Austria, while the standard version allows up to five modules in two towers.
Four modules in one tower, giving 19.4kWh of usable energy on one SolarEdge Home Hub three-phase inverter.
One accessory kit IAC-RBAT-5KWACC-01 (floor stand and top cover) per tower and the cable set IAC-RBAT-5KCINV-01 to the Home Hub inverter; spare connector kit IAC-RBAT-5KCNCT-01 is optional.
10 years. SolarEdge's warranty for Germany guarantees 80% remaining usable capacity at the end of the period or after 2.615MWh of throughput per kWh of usable capacity, whichever comes first.
