Overview

Renusol CS+ standard kit R520075-K: a ballasted HDPE tub with profiles and fixings that carries one framed module at a fixed 15° on a flat roof or open ground, without drilling. It takes landscape modules from 1,550 to 2,400mm long with 895–1,015mm hole spacing, and each tub measures 1,730×1,100×390mm and weighs about 7.9kg. The product is offered in packs of 4 to 14 tubs; ballast is not included and must be sized with Renusol's ballast plan.

How the system works

CS+, formerly ConSole, is a moulded tub that is set on the roof or ground, filled with ballast such as gravel or paving slabs, and fitted with one framed module screwed through its mounting holes onto the supplied profiles. Each tub stands on its own, so no rails link the modules and the weight is spread over the whole base, without point loads.

Renusol has supplied the system for flat roofs for about 20 years. The tub is made of HDPE with aluminium and stainless steel parts, weighs about 7.9kg and measures 1,730mm wide, 1,100mm deep and 390mm high. It is delivered with mounting profiles and fixing material; the ballast itself is not part of the scope of delivery.

Module compatibility

CS+ takes framed modules with mounting holes, laid in landscape, from 1,550mm to 2,400mm long. With the standard kit R520075-K the mounting-hole spacing may be 895–1,015mm; the extension R460196 covers 1,016–1,110mm, and with the R420023 option, alone or combined with R460196, the fit is defined by module width instead (920–995mm or 996–1,100mm). The fixed module tilt is 15°, and arrays can face south or be laid out east-west.

Ballast and structural checks

The ballast needed depends on building height, location, wind loads and the surface; guideline values follow Eurocode 1 (EN 1991), and Renusol provides the PV layout and ballast plan through its configurator. The roof may slope up to 5° without extra measures, a friction coefficient of µ=0.5 must be ensured, and the minimum edge distance is 1.5m. Maximum snow load on the roof is 2.5kN/m². The building's ability to carry the extra load must be verified before installation.

Certification and use

Wind pressure and suction coefficients come from wind tunnel tests by Ruscheweyh Consult; the system carries TÜV certification, fire behaviour of the tub is class E to DIN EN 13501-1, and UV resistance was tested by KIMW. CS+ can be stored and used between -30°C and +50°C, also on landfills and green areas, except sites exposed to hydrogen sulphide. The 10-year warranty applies only when the original complete system is used.
