Who we areNew, original Pytes products with full manufacturer warranty, supplied with their documentation.
The E-BOX 48100R is Pytes' 2.6U rack battery: 100Ah of lithium iron phosphate at 51.2V, 5.12kWh nominal and 4.608kWh usable, in a 440×620×117mm case weighing 51kg. Each module charges and discharges at 50A (2.56kW) and supplies 102A for 15 seconds. It is meant for indoor 19-inch racks or Pytes cabinets on the battery input of low-voltage hybrid and off-grid inverters. Up to 16 modules make an 81.92kWh group, and a hub joins six groups for 491.52kWh. Pytes rates at least 6,000 cycles at 90% depth of discharge.
The E-BOX 48100R is a self-contained low-voltage battery: lithium iron phosphate cells, a Pytes battery management system and a metal case of 440×620×117mm that takes 2.6U in a 19-inch rack. Each module stores 5.12kWh at 51.2V, of which 4.608kWh is usable. Modules are only ever connected in parallel, so the bank stays at 47.5–57.6V while capacity grows. One module acts as master towards the inverter and the others follow it through the link ports.
Charge and discharge are rated at 50A (2.56kW) per module, with a 102A peak for 15 seconds (5.22kW). The per-module current stays the same however many units are paralleled, and Pytes asks for a busbar when the bank must carry more than 100A. Cycle life is at least 6,000 cycles at 0.5C, 25°C and 90% depth of discharge, round-trip efficiency at least 95%. The datasheet lists UL 9540, UL 9540A, UL 1973, CEC, SGIP, CE, IEC 62619 and UN38.3.
The pack can lie in a 19-inch cabinet or stand on its side. Pytes offers the E BK1 floor bracket (up to six stacked), the R-BOX and R-BOX-NEMA3 for two modules, the IP55 R-BOX-OC for four and the Forest RB Plus cabinet for six. The case itself is IP20: install it in a closed room or cabinet at -10…+50°C, 20–80% humidity, below 4,000m and with a 5cm cooling gap. Series connection is forbidden.
Up to 16 modules form one group of 81.92kWh, and six groups can be joined through a Pytes hub for 491.52kWh. The 2025 manual adds that only units carrying the C16 label on carton and serial number accept 16 in parallel; others are limited to eight. A DC breaker rated at least 60V should sit between battery bank and inverter.
Each module has CAN and RS485 ports for the inverter, two RJ45 link ports for the cascade between modules and an RS232 port for PC software and firmware updates. A DIP switch on the master selects the inverter protocol. Six green LEDs show state of charge in 16.7% steps, next to run and alarm lights. Pytes specifies a charging voltage of 57.5V ±0.1V and asks for all batteries to be switched on before the inverter.
Up to 16 in one group (81.92kWh) and up to six groups (491.52kWh) through a Pytes hub. The current manual limits units without the C16 label to eight per group.
Not on its own: the case is IP20 and belongs in a closed room or cabinet. For outdoor sites Pytes offers the R-BOX-OC cabinet rated IP55 for four modules.
No. Every module contains its own BMS with over-voltage, under-voltage, over-current, temperature, short-circuit and reverse-polarity protection, plus cell balancing.
Set the DIP switch on the master module for the inverter brand, connect CAN or RS485 from the master to the inverter and keep the charging voltage at 57.5V ±0.1V. Switch on all batteries before the inverter.
