This PowerCube-X1-V2 string pairs the SC0500-40S-V2 controller with three H48050 modules in series: 7.2kWh nominal at 144V and 50Ah. It charges and discharges at 25A nominal and up to 37A, which is roughly 3.6kW and 5.3kW at nominal voltage. Modules weigh 24kg each and the controller 7kg, all in 442mm-wide 19-inch format for an indoor rack. The same controller accepts up to ten H48050, so the string can later grow to 24kWh at 480V if the inverter allows the higher voltage.
PowerCube-X1-V2 is a high-voltage system in which H48050 modules of 48V and 2.4kWh are wired in series and supervised by an SC0500 V2 controller. A string holds two to ten modules, giving 4.8kWh at 96V up to 24kWh at 480V, with the voltage stepping in 48V increments. Modules and controller are 442mm wide and mount in a Pylontech rack of 600×505mm footprint.
Up to six strings can be paralleled over CAN without a separate master BMS. The controller set to address 1 acts as master and is the only one whose external interface talks to the inverter; where V1 and V2 controllers are mixed, a V2 controller must be the master.
With the SC0500-40S-V2 controller a string charges and discharges at 25A nominal and 37A maximum; the larger SC0500-100S-V2 raises the maximum to 50A. Efficiency is 96% at 0.5C and depth of discharge 95%. The controller has two dry-contact inputs and four outputs for stop charge, stop discharge, error and current limit, a 6-bit address switch with a built-in 120Ω termination, a USB port for updates and a Wi-Fi module for cloud access.
Modules are IP20 and the rack IP00, so the system belongs indoors in a restricted-access area, and only authorised personnel may work on it. The rack is fixed to its base and to the wall with M10 screws. Pylontech gives 0°C to +50°C as the working range, ideally 18°C to 28°C, and asks for cooling or heating where the room leaves that range. The grounding resistance must not exceed 100mΩ.
Inverter compatibility must be confirmed for the exact model and firmware. Pylontech's high-voltage list notes that Deye hybrids need PowerCube-X/H-V2 controller firmware V1.2 or later, and that CE+T inverters work only with PowerCube X/H and X/H V2. Keep all modules in a string of the same type.
The controller communicates with the power conversion system over CAN or Modbus RTU through its RJ45 ports and offers a LAN port for network access. Status LEDs show run, alarm and black-start states; holding the start button during self-check closes the relay for ten minutes so an inverter can start from the battery. A USB port handles firmware updates and data download, while the Wi-Fi module links the system to Pylontech's cloud platform.
Between two and ten in series. Two modules give 4.8kWh at 96V, ten give 24kWh at 480V; Pylontech's 600×505×1300mm rack holds up to eight modules and the 2130mm rack up to ten.
No. Modules and controller are IP20, and the manual requires a restricted-access indoor area within 0°C to +50°C.
The SC0500-40S-V2 allows 37A maximum with H48050 modules, the SC0500-100S-V2 50A. Choose based on the inverter's battery current.
Pylontech's EU consumer warranty for the Powercube X/H series covers battery module performance for seven years from installation or twelve months after manufacture, whichever comes first, under the document's conditions.
