Overview

A pallet of 36 Jinko Solar JKM590N-72HL4-BDV bifacial dual-glass modules, 21.24kWp in total. Each 144-half-cell module of 2,278×1,134×30mm and 31.0kg delivers 590Wp at 22.84% efficiency, with 52.90V Voc, 44.17V Vmp and 14.07A Isc, and gains rear-side yield with a bifacial factor of 80±5%. The operating range of -40 to +85°C and 1500V rating suit commercial roofs, carports and ground-mounted arrays.

Technology

Tiger Neo modules use n-type cells with tunnel oxide passivating contacts (TOPCon), which Jinko Solar credits with lower light-induced degradation and better low-light behaviour than p-type cells. Super multi-busbar (SMBB) interconnection shortens current paths, and the half-cell or quarter-cell layouts reduce resistive losses. All versions here are dual-glass laminates in anodised aluminium frames, with IP68 junction boxes, class II protection and IEC fire class C.

Versions offered

The BDV models are bifacial with 2.0mm glass front and rear and a bifaciality factor of 80±5%: JKM510N-54HL4M-BDV (1,961×1,134×30mm, 27.0kg), JKM620N-66HL4M-BDV (2,382×1,134×30mm, 32.4kg) and JKM590N-72HL4-BDV (2,278×1,134×30mm, 31.0kg). The JKM465N-48QL6-DB is an all-black monofacial dual-glass module with 192 quarter cells in the 1,762×1,134×30mm residential format, rated for 6000Pa front and 4000Pa rear test load.

Jinko Solar packs 36 modules per pallet for the 66 and 72-cell formats and 37 for the 54-cell and 48QL6 versions. A 40ft high-cube container holds 720, 888 or 962 modules depending on the model, loaded as stacks of two pallets.

Installation notes from the manual

The manual asks for at least 10cm between the lower edge of the frame and the mounting surface for ventilation, a tilt above 10° so rain can clean the glass, and a maximum installation altitude of 2000m. Between 50m and 500m from the sea the connectors must be protected with dust plugs until mating; closer sites need offshore modules. Clamp positions and the matching test loads are tabulated for each model, with at least four clamps per module.

For cable, fuse and inverter sizing Jinko Solar uses 1.25 times the module Isc and Voc as a common reference. Modules with different electrical parameters must not be connected in series, and only connectors and tools approved by Jinko Solar should be used. The number of parallel strings without fusing is limited to the fuse rating divided by Isc, plus one.
