Overview

The NL1P-3.6KA2/H delivers 3.68kW and 16A to the 230V grid. Two MPP trackers take up to 5.4kW of PV within an 80–500V range, and the battery port exchanges up to 72A with a 48V lithium or lead-acid battery. EPS backup switches over within 10ms, with overload capacity of 110% for 60 seconds. Up to four units can be paralleled on a shared battery.

How it works

The NL1P is a non-isolated single-phase hybrid inverter from NAHUI, Haier's renewable energy platform. Two MPP trackers rated 16A cover 80–500V with a 550V maximum, and the maximum DC input is 1.5 times the AC rating, for example 9kW on the 6kW model. The battery port takes 48V lithium or lead-acid batteries (40–58V); lithium charging adapts to the battery BMS through CAN or RS485, and current ranges from 60A on the 3kW model to 120A on the 6kW model.

Three work modes are available: self-consumption, peak shift and battery priority, with an advanced mode that gives priority to feeding in or to charging. Up to six time-of-use slots define when the grid may charge the battery to a target SOC, and a grid power limit can be set.

EPS backup

When the grid fails, the EPS/load port supplies the rated power within 10ms and tolerates 110% for 60 seconds, 120% for 30 seconds and 150% for 10 seconds. The manual notes that with the Italian grid standard selected, the transfer from grid to off-grid needs a 500ms delay. A built-in CEI 0-21 self-test (auto test) is provided for installations in Italy.

Installation and compatibility

The IP65 housing measures 454.5×467×200mm, weighs 19kg and is naturally cooled, with noise below 35dB and standby consumption below 15W. The manual specifies 300mm free space left and right, 500mm above and below and 1000mm in front. Grid connection standards listed are EN 50549-1, G98, G99 and CEI 0-21:2022.

Up to four inverters can work in parallel on a shared battery, connected through CAN parallel ports with CAT6 cables; all units need the same software version, and slaves follow the work mode of the master. Three units can also be grouped into a three-phase system. A CT is used to measure grid power at the connection point.

Monitoring and settings

A colour display shows PV, grid, battery and load data and gives access to system, battery and parallel settings. A Wi-Fi dongle links the inverter to the NAHUI apps, and RS485, CAN and DRM ports are available for the BMS, external devices and demand response.
