Overview

The GW125/261-ESA-LCN-G10 (article CI0125K-04-00P) is GoodWe's all-in-one commercial storage cabinet with a 125kW PCS and 261.25kWh of liquid-cooled LFP storage in five 52.25kWh packs. The PCS can deliver up to 137.5kW at 400V, and the rack works at 832V nominal. This G10 version is shipped with MSD switches for the battery packs. Up to 20 cabinets can be combined for 2.5MW and 5.22MWh, and the system can work grid-tied, off-grid or with a diesel generator via an STS cabinet.

How it works

The ESA 125kW/261kWh combines a 125kW air-cooled power conversion system with a liquid-cooled battery rack of five 52.25kWh packs in a single outdoor cabinet. Battery, PCS and energy management are developed by GoodWe and coordinated inside the unit, so the system is delivered pre-integrated and commissioned as one device. It charges from the grid or from existing PV inverters on site and discharges to cut peaks or shift energy.

Several operating scenarios are supported: grid-tied operation, grid-tied/off-grid switching with a GoodWe GW500K-STS-PCS-G10 transfer cabinet, pure off-grid PV and storage, and PV-storage-diesel systems in which the STS starts and stops a generator according to state of charge. GoodWe recommends an SOC window of 10–90% when switching between grid-tied and off-grid modes.

Key features

The 314Ah LFP cells form a 832V rack (676–936V) with 261.25kWh usable energy and a maximum rate of 0.5P. The PCS reaches 98.6% efficiency, overall system efficiency is 92%, and charge/discharge reversal takes under 60ms. Safety measures include pack-level humidity monitoring with automatic dehumidification, a thermosensitive detection wire and suppression module per pack, cabinet-level smoke and temperature sensors, aerosol suppression and a connection for firefighting water.

Installation and compatibility

The cabinet measures 1050×2250×1400mm, weighs 2580kg and is rated IP54 with C4 corrosion protection (C5 optional), for outdoor installation from -25 to 55°C. It must be installed within six months of manufacture. A 250A breaker is recommended per unit, and CTs with a GM330 meter, or secondary CTs with a DTSD1352 meter where the site cannot be switched off, are needed at the connection point for export control.

Up to 20 units can be paralleled with the GoodWe SEC3000C controller, or with a third-party EMS that defines the maximum number. For Italy, GoodWe publishes CEI 0-21 and CEI 0-16 certificates for the system; VDE-AR-N 4105, VDE-AR-N 4110/4120/4130, EN 50549-1/-10 and NC RfG certificates are also available.

Monitoring and settings

Device parameters are set with the SolarGo app and the system is monitored on SEMS+. The cabinet communicates over Modbus TCP and Modbus RTU, which allows integration with third-party EMS platforms, and is set up through the SEC3000C embedded web interface in parallel systems. GoodWe also provides separate on-grid and microgrid user manuals and a maintenance manual.
