Overview

The R100 is a 100kW, 110kVA commercial three-phase string inverter with nine MPP trackers and two strings per tracker, 18 strings in total. Each tracker accepts 26A, and the input operates from 200V to 1000V with full power between 550V and 850V, up to 1100V maximum. With 98.6% peak efficiency, PID recovery and an IP66 housing of 90kg, it suits rooftop and ground-mounted C&I plants; CEI 0-21 and CEI 0-16 certificates cover it for Italy.

How it works

R series inverters convert the output of large PV arrays to a 380/400V three-phase supply with neutral. The R75 and R100 have nine MPP trackers and the R110 ten, each with two string inputs, 26A operating and 40A short-circuit current. Tracking runs from 200V to 1000V, with full power between 550V and 850V and a start-up voltage of 250V. The grid range is 320–460V at 45–55Hz or 55–65Hz.

Key features

FoxESS rates the series at 98.6% maximum and 98.2% European efficiency. A PID recovery function counters potential-induced degradation of the modules, and insulation and residual current monitoring, a DC switch and type II surge protection on DC and AC sides are standard; AFCI and PV string current monitoring are optional. Smart air cooling allows operation from -30°C to +60°C and up to 4000m, with derating above 3000m.

Installation and compatibility

The 975×630×360mm, 90kg unit is IP66 and hangs on a plate fixed to a wall or a PV mounting structure. The quick guide asks for 1000mm free on both sides and in front, 200mm above and 450mm below. AC phase conductors of 70–240mm² connect via OT lugs inside the wiring box, PE at half the phase section; DC strings use MC4-type connectors. Grounding cables of 4–6mm² are recommended for the secondary earth.

For Italian plants FoxESS provides CEI 0-21 and CEI 0-16 certificates for R75–R110, and the datasheet lists EN 50549, VDE-AR-N 4105 and VDE-AR-N 4110. The quick guide lists 18 pairs of DC connectors for the nine-tracker R75 and R100 and 20 pairs for the R110, all supplied in the box.

Monitoring and settings

The inverter has status LEDs rather than a display; plant data are viewed in the FoxCloud app through the monitoring module supplied in the box. Wi-Fi and LAN, RS485 and USB interfaces are available for plant controllers and data loggers.
