Overview

FLB48230WG1-H adds a heating module to the 11.7kWh FLB pack, so it can charge and discharge from -20°C to +55°C. The 51.2V, 230Ah LiFePO4 pack delivers 150A continuously and 200A for 15s, weighs 91kg and measures 683×450×258mm. The IP65 housing can be mounted on a wall or on the floor, and up to 32 units can be paralleled. Heating status is shown by a slowly flashing yellow LED.

How it works

The FLB series is the waterproof line of Felicitysolar low-voltage batteries: 51.2V LiFePO4 packs in IP65 housings for 48V hybrid and off-grid inverters. Each pack has its own BMS, a DC breaker used as on/off switch, an externally replaceable fuse and an aerosol fire extinguisher. Four LEDs show the state of charge and a status LED shows normal operation, faults and, on heated models, heating in progress.

Models with the -H suffix contain a heating module that brings the cells back to working temperature, so they can charge and discharge between -20°C and +55°C. Standard versions charge only from 0°C. The BMS case acts as a heat sink for its MOSFETs, so the manual notes that a warm housing during operation is normal.

Key features

Three sizes are offered: 5.12kWh (100Ah) and 11.7kWh (230Ah) wall- or floor-mounted packs, and a 16kWh (314Ah) floor-standing tower. Continuous current is 100A, 150A and 160A respectively, with peaks of up to 200A for 15s. Up to 32 identical packs can be paralleled. Depth of discharge is at least 95%, and the datasheet rates the 5.12kWh and 11.7kWh models for 6,000 cycles and the 16kWh model for 8,000 cycles.

Installation and compatibility

The manual allows indoor and outdoor installation, provided the site is shielded from direct sunlight, wind, conductive dust and corrosive gases, away from the sea and below 2000m. Wall-mounted packs use the supplied bracket and M8 anchors; floor installation is also possible. The box includes two 4AWG power cables rated for 100A, a grey RS485 cable for Felicitysolar inverters, a blue cable for other brands and a black cable for linking packs.

Parallel systems should be joined with a battery combiner box or a copper busbar. Felicitysolar publishes CAN communication guides for its low-voltage batteries with Victron, SolaX, Solis, SOFAR, Luxpower, Megarevo and Sol-Ark inverters. Without communication the manual gives 57.6V charge and float voltage and a 44.8V cut-off.

Monitoring and settings

Battery data can be read through a Felicitysolar inverter or, with other brands, sent by the built-in Wi-Fi to the Fsolar app and web portal, where the pack is added to a plant by scanning its serial number. Bluetooth is available for local checks. The status and SOC LEDs also display fault codes such as cell overvoltage, overcurrent or sensor faults.
