Overview

The V12 holds 11.776kWh in a single wall-hung unit: 230Ah of lithium iron phosphate at 51.2V, used to 90% depth of discharge. It charges and discharges at 100A (5.12kW) and delivers 200A for 180 seconds. An IP66 enclosure with C4-M corrosion class, heating pad, DC breaker and pre-charge circuit let it be mounted outdoors on a wall or, with the optional tray, on the ground. Up to 16 units connect in parallel for 188.4kWh nominal. It measures 640×230×520mm and weighs 100kg.

How it works

V12 is a single-enclosure 51.2V battery built from 230Ah automotive-grade lithium iron phosphate cells, giving 11.776kWh nominal and 90% usable depth of discharge. It sits on the low-voltage battery input of a hybrid or off-grid inverter and is combined with other units only in parallel, so the system stays between 47.5V and 57.6V. A two-pole DC breaker, a pre-charge circuit and the BMS are integrated, so no separate battery control box is needed.

Key features

Charge and discharge are rated at 100A (5.12kW), with 200A available for 180 seconds. The enclosure is IP66 with C4-M corrosion resistance; the heating pad raises cell temperature by 8°C per hour, discharge works from -20°C to +55°C and charge from 0°C to +55°C. Pytes rates 6,000 cycles at 25°C, 0.5C and 90% DoD, and the 10-year basic warranty refers to 70% state of health. A thermal aerosol fire suppression module is a factory option.

Installation and compatibility

The supplied bracket hangs V12 on a non-combustible wall able to carry its 100kg; an optional floor base allows ground installation. The manual asks for at least 0.5m from the inverter, no direct sunlight, no standing water, sufficient clearance for heat dissipation and an area closed to children and pets. Two 2m 1/0AWG power cables come in the box. For parallel systems each unit goes to common positive and negative busbars, up to 16 units.

Monitoring and settings

The master unit talks to the inverter over CAN or RS485 through its COM port, with a DIP switch setting the inverter protocol; additional units cascade through ports 0 and 1. The DCI port carries an emergency stop input and RS485, and an RS232 console port serves local diagnostics and firmware updates. The optional LSW-5 Wi-Fi module adds remote monitoring and upgrades. Pytes reports V12 systems built with SMA, Victron and Deye inverters and names Sol-Ark as a strategic partner.
