Overview

A pallet of 36 DMEGC DM515G12RT-B54HBW modules gives 18.54kWp of front-side power. The B54HBW is the bifacial glass-glass member of the 108-cell Infinity RT line, with black frame and white rear background. Each 1,977×1,134×30mm module (27.1kg) delivers 515W at 23.0% efficiency, 40.24V Voc and 15.69A Isc; with 135W/m² of rear irradiance (BNPI) DMEGC rates it at 569W. Bifaciality is 80±5%, so mounting height and ground albedo affect the rear gain.

Model code and versions

DMEGC builds the Infinity RT range on rectangular n-type G12RT wafers cut in half. In the model code, G marks a monofacial glass-glass module and B a bifacial one; 48 or 54 is the full-cell count (96 or 108 half cells). The closing letters stand for half-cut cells (H), frame colour (B black, S silver) and rear colour (B black, W white, T transparent).

So the G48HBB and G54HBB are full black, the G48HBW has a black frame and white rear, and the B54HBW is a bifacial black-frame module with a white rear. The current datasheets belong to the Infinity RT 3.0 generation; DMEGC still publishes RT 2.0 datasheets for some codes, with slightly different electrical values and a 25A fuse rating.

Electrical design notes

All four versions are rated for 1500V DC with a 30A overcurrent protection rating, power sorting of 0 to +3% and temperature coefficients of -0.29%/°C (Pmax), -0.25%/°C (Voc) and +0.048%/°C (Isc). The 96-cell modules have about 36V Voc and the 108-cell ones about 40V.

DMEGC's installation manual asks designers to multiply the STC short-circuit current by 1.25 and to correct Voc for the lowest site temperature using the module coefficient. Up to two strings can be paralleled without fuses; from three strings upwards each one needs a certified overcurrent device. Modules with different electrical parameters should not share a string.

Mounting and site conditions

With four clamps placed at one fifth of the module length (±50mm) on rails crossing the long frame, or bolted through the inner holes on crossing rails, the rated test load is +5400/-2400Pa, a design load of +3600/-1600Pa. Clamps must be at least 50mm long and overlap the frame by 10–12mm; M8 clamp bolts are tightened to 16–20N·m.

The manual requires a gap of at least 10mm between modules, 10cm of clearance behind the frame for ventilation and, inside the EEA, a tilt of at least 5°. Only modules with the same colour code and production batches less than three months apart should share a roof. Sites within 50m of the sea need DMEGC's additional salt-corrosion instructions.

Warranty and certification

Glass-glass G12RT modules in the 48 and 54 formats carry a 25-year (300-month) product warranty. The RT 3.0 datasheets state a 30-year linear power warranty: at most 1% loss in year one, then 0.35% a year, leaving 88.85% in year 30. The limited warranty grants these rates to modules with 3 as the seventh serial-number digit; others get 0.40% a year and 87.40%.

The modules are certified to IEC 61215 and IEC 61730, with TÜV Rheinland certificates for salt mist (IEC 61701), ammonia (IEC 62716) and dust and sand (IEC 60068-2-68). The datasheets also list LeTID testing to IEC TS 63342 and hail class HW3.
