Who we areNew, original Deye products with full manufacturer warranty, supplied with their documentation.
AI-W5.1-B is a single 5.12kWh module (100Ah at 51.2V) for building a Deye AI-W battery stack, either under a PDU1 for an external low-voltage inverter or under a PDU3 with a matching Deye hybrid inverter on top. One module delivers 2.5kW rated DC power and 100A, with 150A for 10 seconds; usable energy is 4.6kWh at the recommended 90% depth of discharge. The 53kg module measures 720×254×300mm, and from two to six modules form stacks of 10.24 to 30.72kWh.
AI-W5.1-B is the battery module of Deye's AI-W (SPRING) residential storage range. Each module holds 100Ah of lithium iron phosphate cells at 51.2V and has its own BMS, circuit breaker and air vent valve. Modules are stacked on a base and joined by quick connectors guided by pillars, so no cables run between them. A power distribution unit sits on top of the stack and connects it to the inverter.
Deye offers two PDUs for the same module. AI-W5.1-PDU1-B links the stack to an external low-voltage inverter through bolted battery outputs and a CAN/RS485 PCS port. AI-W5.1-PDU3-B carries a matching Deye hybrid inverter on top of the stack, forming the all-in-one AI-W5.1-B-ESS of 3.6–10kW single-phase or 5–12kW three-phase.
One cluster takes one to six modules, from 5.12 to 30.72kWh. Charge and discharge current grows with the stack: 100A for one module, 200A for two and 250A from three modules, with 10-second peaks of 150A, 270A and 360A. Deye recommends 90% depth of discharge and rates the cells for at least 6000 cycles at 0.5C to 70% end of life, with 16MWh throughput per module and a 10-year warranty. Up to six clusters (36 modules) can run in parallel.
The stack is floor-mounted and reaches IP65 once assembled, so it can stand indoors or outdoors, preferably away from direct sun, rain and snow. Deye's quick guide draws the required clearances, mostly 300mm or more, and a 10–35mm gap at the wall; side brackets and M6 expansion bolts tie the stack to the wall, and adjustable feet on the base level it. Charging needs 0–55°C, or down to -20°C on modules with heating film, identified by the serial number prefix.
Module addresses are assigned automatically, and battery data reach the inverter over CAN 2.0 or RS485 through the PDU. Each module shows run, alarm and error LEDs, while the PDU adds five state-of-charge LEDs. With a Deye inverter set to lithium mode the packs can be checked on the inverter display, and Deye states that remote monitoring and firmware upgrades are supported. Installers can also read every module on a PC through the upper-computer software.
Yes. A stack needs a base and one PDU: AI-W5.1-PDU1-B to connect an external inverter, or AI-W5.1-PDU3-B to mount a matching Deye hybrid inverter on top as an all-in-one system.
One to six modules per stack, and up to six stacks in parallel, for 36 modules in total according to Deye's brochure.
Yes. The assembled stack is IP65 and Deye allows indoor and outdoor installation; the manual recommends avoiding direct sunlight, direct rain and snow cover to extend battery life.
Discharge works from -20°C. Charging needs at least 0°C, except on modules with the heating film, which can charge from -20°C with heating on.
Deye states 100A for one module, 200A for two and 250A for three to six modules, with 10-second peaks of 150A, 270A and 360A. Actual current depends on temperature and state of charge.
