Who we areNew, original V-TAC products with full manufacturer warranty, supplied with their documentation.
The VT48100E-W (V-TAC SKU 11526) is a 5.12kWh, 51.2V lithium iron phosphate battery in a white wall-mounted housing measuring 443×450×150mm and weighing about 43kg. It charges and discharges at up to 100A continuous and talks to the inverter over CAN or RS485, with an LCD for status. One unit suits a small 48V hybrid or off-grid system; six in parallel give about 30kWh. It is IP20, so it belongs indoors, and needs an external DC fuse or breaker.
The VT48100E-W is a 16-cell lithium iron phosphate pack with a nominal 51.2V and 100Ah, giving 5.12kWh. The built-in battery management system watches cell voltage, current and temperature, balances the cells and stops charging below 0°C or discharging below -20°C. It reports state of charge and alarms to the inverter over CAN or RS485, so the inverter can set its charge current and voltage automatically from the battery data.
V-TAC rates the pack for a 56.8V charge voltage, 20A standard and 100A maximum continuous current in both directions, with discharge cut-off at 42.0V. The product sheet quotes more than 5,000 cycles below 0.5C and recommends a depth of discharge above 80%.
The battery hangs on the wall with expansion bolts; V-TAC asks for a wall at least 60mm thick, 200mm free on the sides and 150mm above and below, and an indoor site away from sun, rain and snow. The housing is IP20, so outdoor or coastal sites need a protective enclosure. The pack has no built-in overcurrent protection, so a suitable DC fuse or breaker between battery and inverter is required.
V-TAC's compatibility list for its 51.2V batteries covers Deye single- and three-phase LV hybrid inverters as well as Solis, Hoymiles, Afore, SRNE, TBB, Megarevo, INVT and Vestwoods models over CAN, Phocos Any-Grid over RS485 and Victron GX devices over CAN.
Up to six packs can run in parallel, reaching 600Ah or about 30kWh. With four to six units the manual limits the bank's charge and discharge current to 300A, which keeps peak power at about 15kW. Each pack gets an address with its DIP switch: for CAN the master is set to 0 and the others count up, while RS485 uses addresses 1–15. With a control unit, RS485/CAN communication supports up to 15 groups.
Up to six, for 600Ah and about 30kWh. With four to six units V-TAC limits total current to 300A, so peak power stays around 15kW.
Yes. The product sheet states that the pack has no built-in overcurrent protection, so install a DC fuse or breaker sized for the inverter between battery and inverter.
No. It is IP20 and the manual requires an indoor site protected from sun, rain and snow; in harsh environments V-TAC calls for a climate-controlled cabinet of IP55 or better.
V-TAC lists Deye LV hybrid inverters and several other brands, including Solis, Hoymiles and Victron GX devices, communicating over CAN; Phocos Any-Grid units use RS485.
