Who we areNew, original Victron Energy products with full manufacturer warranty, supplied with their documentation.
This listing covers the Phoenix Inverter 5000VA in two variants, 24/5000 and 48/5000. Both deliver 4000W continuously at 25°C, 3700W at 40°C and 10kW peak, which Victron's SinusMax design makes available for starting motors and compressors. The case measures 444×328×240mm and weighs 30kg. Victron recommends 400–1400Ah with a 400A DC fuse on 24V, and 200–800Ah with a 200A fuse on 48V. Six 24/5000 units in parallel give 24kW / 30kVA, according to the datasheet; three units form a three-phase supply.
The Phoenix Inverter 3000VA and 5000VA convert battery power into a 230V 50Hz pure sine wave using Victron's SinusMax hybrid high-frequency design, which provides very high start-up power for loads such as compressors and electric motors. The 3000VA models deliver 2400W continuously at 25°C and 6000W peak; the 5000VA models 4000W and 10000W. AES mode reduces no-load consumption by about 20% and search mode by about 70%, switching the inverter off when no load is detected and checking every two seconds.
Mount the inverter horizontally or, preferably, vertically on a wall in a dry, ventilated place near the batteries, with 10cm clearance all round. Batteries connect to four M8 bolts (two positive, two negative) and AC to screw terminals. Victron recommends, for example, 400–1200Ah with a 400A DC fuse for the 12/3000 and 200–800Ah with a 200A fuse for the 48/5000. The output neutral is bonded to the enclosure so an RCD on the output works, and the chassis must be grounded to earth, vehicle frame or boat hull.
Up to six identical units can be paralleled, with DC cables of equal length and cross-section, and three units form a three-phase wye system; delta is not supported. These inverters have no transfer switch: for automatic switching to the grid or a generator Victron recommends a MultiPlus or Quattro, whose charger can be disabled.
DIP switches set AES mode, output voltage and frequency. VEConfigure or VictronConnect, through an MK3-USB interface, give access to all parameters, including output voltage from 210V to 245V, 50Hz or 60Hz, search-mode thresholds and the programmable relay, preset as an alarm relay and usable to start a generator. Systems of up to three units can be set up with VE.Bus Quick Configure; larger ones need VE.Bus System Configurator. A GX device such as the Cerbo GX adds VRM monitoring via VE.Bus.
No, it has no transfer switch. Victron recommends a MultiPlus or Quattro for automatic switching; their charger function can be disabled if only the inverter and switch are needed.
Up to six identical units in parallel, for example six 24/5000 units for 30kVA, or three units in a three-phase wye configuration.
400–1200Ah for the 12/3000, 200–700Ah for the 24/3000, 100–400Ah for the 48/3000, 400–1400Ah for the 24/5000 and 200–800Ah for the 48/5000.
Yes. With VEConfigure the output voltage can be set between 210V and 245V and the frequency to 50Hz or 60Hz.
