The Lithium SuperPack 25,6V/50Ah is the only 24V model of the range: 1280Wh in a 330×220×172mm housing weighing 14kg, with M8 terminals. Because SuperPacks cannot be connected in series, 24V systems use this battery directly, adding units in parallel where more capacity is needed. It supplies and accepts 50A continuously, with 100A discharge peaks for 10 seconds, and is charged at 28.4–28.8V absorption and 27V float.
SuperPack batteries combine LiFePO4 cells with an integrated BMS and an internal safety switch, so they need no external protection components. The switch disconnects the battery on over-discharge, overcharge, or a temperature that is too low or too high, and it cuts charge or discharge current when the maximum ratings are exceeded. If a load with high input capacitance, such as an inverter, trips the protection when connected, the battery retries and reconnects after about 10 seconds.
Cycle life is 2500 cycles at 80% depth of discharge and 25°C, with 92% round-trip efficiency and under 1% capacity loss per 100 cycles. Discharge is possible from -20°C to +50°C and charging from 0°C to +45°C. On units from serial number HQ2040, charging is blocked automatically below about 0°C and resumes above about 3°C, while discharge is blocked below about -20°C. The housing is rated IP43.
SuperPack batteries can be connected in parallel without a set limit, but series connection is not allowed, so each model serves its own nominal voltage of 12V or 24V. Mount them upright or on a long side, never with both terminals facing down; the 12.8V/200Ah model must not lie on the long side that puts the positive terminal at the bottom. Recommended charging is 14.2–14.4V or 28.4–28.8V absorption, preferably for no more than four hours, and 13.5V or 27V float.
A fully charged SuperPack can be stored for up to one year at 25°C or below, or three months at up to 40°C, within a storage range of -40°C to +65°C. Terminal sizes depend on the model: M5 threaded inserts on the 20Ah, M6 on the 60Ah, and M8 on the 100Ah, 200Ah and 25.6V/50Ah versions, so cable lugs must be chosen accordingly.
No. The BMS and safety switch are built in and disconnect the battery on over-discharge, overcharge or out-of-range temperature.
No, Victron does not allow series connection. For 24V use the 25.6V/50Ah model, and add capacity by connecting batteries in parallel.
Loads with high input capacitance can trip the protection at the moment of connection. The battery retries and reconnects after about 10 seconds.
14.2–14.4V absorption and 13.5V float for 12.8V models, 28.4–28.8V and 27V for the 25.6V model. Absorption should preferably not exceed four hours.
