Who we areNew, original Victron Energy products with full manufacturer warranty, supplied with their documentation.
The BlueSolar PWM-Pro 12/24V-30A is the largest PWM-Pro, rated 30A, equivalent to about 360W of panels on 12V or 720W on 24V when multiplied by nominal battery voltage. It has 10mm² terminals in a 100×200×57mm housing weighing 0.5kg. Charging is fully programmable, with optional temperature compensation, Remote Panel and PC software, and an integrated battery monitor that reports state of charge on the Remote Panel.
The BlueSolar PWM-Pro charges by pulse width modulation in bulk, absorption and float stages, with a programmable equalisation charge. It works out of the box with default values of 14.4V absorption, 13.8V float and 14.6V equalisation (double for 24V), and detects a 12V or 24V battery automatically. As with any PWM controller, the panels must match the battery: 36-cell for 12V, 72-cell for 24V.
An integrated battery monitor tracks state of charge, displayed on the Remote Panel once the battery capacity has been entered and all loads are connected to the load output. With the optional temperature sensor (SCC940100100) charge voltages are compensated by -30mV/°C on 12V or -60mV/°C on 24V systems.
Settings can be changed in two ways. The BlueSolar Pro Remote Panel (SCC900300000) connects with a standard RJ45 cable of up to 20m and gives a backlit display, warning LED and optional audible alarm. Alternatively the free setup and monitoring software runs on a Windows PC through the PWM-Pro to USB interface cable (SCC940100200), which uses RS485 and can manage more than one controller.
Programmable parameters include battery type (gel, AGM, flooded or user defined), battery capacity, temperature coefficient, absorption, float and equalisation voltages and durations, and load disconnect and reconnect levels. Changes are protected by a password. The panel also shows device information, failure history and supports a factory reset.
The load output defaults to manual control with the button on the controller and low-voltage disconnect at 11.1V (22.2V), reconnecting at 12.6V (25.2V). Other modes are light on/off from array voltage with a confirmation delay, light on plus timer with separate periods after dusk and before dawn, and time control using the internal clock with one or two on-periods. It is protected against overload and short circuit.
No. The PWM-Pro works with its default settings. The Remote Panel or the PC software with USB interface cable is needed only to change settings or to read state of charge.
Gel, sealed (AGM), flooded or a user-defined profile in which all charge voltages can be entered.
Yes, with the optional battery temperature sensor SCC940100100; the datasheet gives -30mV/°C for 12V and -60mV/°C for 24V systems.
Charge and load current (5A, 10A, 20A or 30A), terminal size (4mm² or 10mm²) and housing: the 5A and 10A share a 70×138×37mm housing, the 20A and 30A are larger.
