Overview

A pallet of 36 full-black Trina Solar TSM-460NEG9R.25 modules, 16.56kWp in total. The NEG9R.25 is the full-black version of the Vertex S+ residential module, chosen where the array is visible on a home roof. Each 144-cell dual-glass module gives 460Wp at 23.0% efficiency, 45.40V and 10.14A at maximum power, 53.80V Voc and 10.81A Isc, in a 1,762×1,134×30mm, 21.0kg format. The 460W class appears in Trina's 2025-C datasheet; the EU 2025-B datasheet stops at 455W.

Design and technology

The NEG9R.25 is the full-black version of Trina Solar's Vertex S+ residential module. It has 144 n-type i-TOPCon monocrystalline cells, a 1.6mm anti-reflective heat-strengthened front glass, a 1.6mm heat-strengthened rear glass and a 30mm black anodised aluminium frame. At 1,762×1,134×30mm and 21.0kg it has the same footprint and weight as the NEG9R.28, so mounting layouts can be shared, while the black finish suits visible pitched roofs on homes.

Electrical data

Trina's EU datasheet (2025-B) lists 430 to 455Wp; the later global datasheet (2025-C) extends the range to 440–465Wp with up to 23.3% efficiency. Open-circuit voltage is 51.4–54.2V and short-circuit current 10.59–10.85A across the range, with a 0/+5W power selection. Temperature coefficients are -0.29%/°C for Pmax, -0.24%/°C for Voc and +0.04%/°C for Isc, NOCT is 43±2°C, maximum system voltage 1500V DC (IEC) and the series fuse rating 25A.

Installation notes from the manual

The Vertex user manual places the NEG9R series among products for distributed systems and forbids their use in ground-mounted power plants. Mounted with four clamps on the long frame and rails across it, the clamp centrelines go in the 300–350mm zone, rated for 4000Pa uplift and 5400Pa downforce. Clamps need an 8–12mm overlap on the frame and must not reach the glass. Components connected to the array are sized with 1.25 times the marked Voc and Isc.

Warranty and packing

The EU datasheet gives a 25-year product workmanship warranty and a 30-year power warranty with at most 1% first-year and 0.4% annual degradation, or 87.4% after 30 years. The global 2025-C datasheet shows a 15-year product warranty, so the applicable term depends on the warranty document issued with the delivery. Packing is 36 modules per box and 936 per 40ft container; MC4 EVO2 connectors are a special-order option next to TS4 and TS4 Plus.
