Overview

The ASW3680H-S2 is a 3.68kW single-phase hybrid inverter for 48V lithium batteries. Its two MPP trackers take up to 6.18kWp of PV with a 550V maximum input and a 40–530V tracking range, 16A per tracker. The battery port (40–60V) charges and discharges at up to 5kW and 100A, more than the inverter's grid rating, and the EPS output supplies 5kVA backup with 7.5kVA peaks for 10 seconds. It weighs 25.1kg, is rated IP66 and works with batteries such as the Solplanet ASW5120-LB-G3.

How it works

The ASW H-S2 is a transformerless single-phase hybrid with two MPP trackers and a low-voltage battery port. PV input is limited to 550V, with a 40–530V MPP range, 50V start-up voltage and 16A per tracker, so it works with short strings on residential roofs. The battery port runs at 48V nominal (40–60V) and charges or discharges at up to 100A and 5kW on every model, from the 3kW to the 6kW version.

The EPS port supplies backup circuits during a grid outage at 5kVA, with 7.5kVA for 10 seconds and a switch-over time of 10ms or less. The PV array keeps charging the battery in backup operation, and the inverter reconnects automatically when the grid returns. Export limitation and zero export are handled through an AISWEI-approved smart meter on the RS485 port; a smart meter is listed in the scope of delivery.

Installation and compatibility

The inverter weighs 25.1kg and measures 483×455×193.5mm. It is IP66 rated for indoor or outdoor wall mounting and supports TN-S, TN-C, TN-C-S and TT grids. Solplanet's compatibility list for the H-S2 includes the Ai-LB-G3, Ai-LB-E, Ai-LB and AP-L batteries plus listed Pylontech, Dyness, Pytes and other 48V LFP models. CEI 0-21 certificates are published for combinations with Ai-LB 5K/10K, Ai-LB Pro and Pylontech Force L1/L2 batteries, and a VDE-AR-N 4105 certificate covers all models.

Monitoring and settings

A Wi-Fi stick is supplied for monitoring and configuration through the Solplanet App and cloud. The inverter talks to the battery over CAN and to the meter over RS485, supports Modbus RTU and offers a DRM0 interface. For VDE-AR-N 4105 installations the ASW5000H-S2 is limited to 4.6kVA. AFCI is listed as optional, and Solplanet asks buyers to check availability with its local sales team.
