Who we areNew, original Solis products with full manufacturer warranty, supplied with their documentation.
The S5-GC80K is the 80kW model of the Solis S5-GC(75-110)K fifth-generation series, also known as Solis-80K-5G and listed by some suppliers as 3P80K-5G-DC. Nine MPP trackers take 18 strings at up to 32A per tracker, in the 180–1000V range with an 1100V maximum input, which suits large bifacial arrays. Maximum AC output is 88kVA at 98.7% peak efficiency. The 85kg IP66 unit includes string monitoring, I-V scanning and night SVG, and the manual specifies a 150A AC protection device.
The S5-GC(75-110)K, also sold under the older names Solis-75K-5G and Solis-80K-5G, is a transformerless three-phase string inverter of the fifth Solis generation for commercial PV plants. The S5-GC80K has nine MPP trackers with two strings each and 32A per tracker, so strings of high-current bifacial modules up to 16A can be connected, and the DC side supports Y-branch connectors. The MPPT range is 180–1000V with an 1100V maximum input.
Solis states a DC/AC ratio above 150%. Maximum AC output of the S5-GC80K is 88kVA, 10% above rated power, at 98.7% peak and 98.3% European efficiency. The grid connection is 3/N/PE at 220/380V or 230/400V, 50Hz or 60Hz, with a rated output current of 121.6A/115.5A and night-time consumption below 2W.
Every string is monitored and a smart I-V curve scan helps locate module faults. A night SVG function supplies reactive power when there is no PV production. AFCI 2.0 arc fault protection, PID recovery and an integrated AC switch are optional, while DC and AC type II surge protection and a DC switch are built in. Firmware can be updated remotely, and power-line communication (PLC) is available as an option in addition to Wi-Fi and GPRS.
The S5-GC80K measures 1050×567×314.5mm including the AC switch and weighs 85kg, with intelligent fan cooling and IP66 protection for outdoor mounting. Solis asks for at least 500mm between inverters and other equipment and 500mm from the ground. AC cables up to 185mm² connect to OT terminals, and the manual specifies a 150A protection device for the 80kW models.
Grid connection standards in the datasheet include CEI 0-21, VDE-AR-N 4105, VDE-AR-N 4110, EN 50549-1 and G99; Solis also publishes an EN 50549-2 certificate for the series and a VDE-AR-N 4110 certificate covering the 80–110kW models. The operating temperature range is -30…+60°C up to 4000m altitude.
Local settings are made on the LCD display with four keys. RS485 is standard, and Wi-Fi, GPRS or PLC loggers connect the inverter to SolisCloud for remote monitoring and firmware updates. The English user manual covers Solis-75K-5G, Solis-80K-5G, S5-GC75K and S5-GC80K together with the high-voltage 100kW and 110kW versions.
Solis covers both names in the same user manual with the same ratings; S5-GC80K is the current model name used on the datasheet.
The S5-GC80K accepts 18 strings on nine MPP trackers, with up to 32A per tracker.
The manual specifies a 150A protection device for the 80kW models, and OT terminals accept AC cables up to 185mm².
The datasheet lists CEI 0-21 among the supported grid connection standards; check the required documents with the network operator.
