Who we areNew, original Solis products with full manufacturer warranty, supplied with their documentation.
The Solis-80K-5G-PRO is the 80kW, six-tracker model of the Solis-(80-110)K-5G-PRO commercial string inverter series. Its six MPP trackers take twelve strings, alternating 40A and 32A per tracker, at 160–1000V with a maximum input of 1100V, which suits high-current bifacial modules. Maximum output is 88kVA at 98.5% peak efficiency. Inside are three power modules, and Solis recommends loading them evenly with PV power. At 78kg it is lighter than the 100kW and 110kW models; the manual specifies a 150A AC protection device.
The Solis-(80-110)K-5G-PRO is a transformerless three-phase string inverter of the fifth generation for commercial and industrial PV systems. The 80kW model has six MPP trackers and the 100kW and 110kW models eight, each with two strings; trackers alternate between 40A and 32A input current, which suits bifacial modules. The MPPT window is 160–1000V with a 1100V maximum input and a 180V start-up voltage.
Maximum AC output is 10% above the rated power, for example 121kVA on the 110kW model, with 98.5% peak and 98.0% European efficiency. Solis states a DC/AC ratio above 150%, and the DC side supports Y-branch string connection. Night-time self-consumption is below 2W, and the inverter operates from -30°C to +60°C up to 4000m altitude.
Each string is monitored, and a smart I-V curve scan helps find module faults. A night-time SVG function supplies reactive power without PV production. AFCI arc fault protection is integrated and must be activated; PID recovery and an integrated AC switch are optional, and DC and AC type II surge protection and a DC switch are built in. Firmware can be updated remotely, and power-line communication (PLC) is available as an option.
The 100kW and 110kW models measure 1183×585×363mm, or 1295mm wide with the optional AC switch, and weigh about 98kg according to the manual; the 80kW model is smaller. Solis asks for 500mm between inverters and from the ground. AC cables connect to OT terminals, and the manual specifies a protection device of 150A for the 80kW, 200A for the 100kW and 250A for the 110kW model.
Inside the 100–110kW models are four power modules, each fed by four inputs. Solis recommends loading them evenly, within 5%; otherwise each string should not exceed 9.2kW with 182mm modules or 12.2kW with 210mm modules. For Italy, CEI 0-21 and CEI 0-16 declarations and certificates are published.
Settings are made on the LCD display. RS485 is standard, and Wi-Fi, GPRS or PLC communication can be added for monitoring in SolisCloud and remote firmware updates. Grid connection standards listed in the manual are G99, IEC 61727, EN 50549-1/-2 and VDE-AR-N 4110, and EN 50549 certificates are available alongside the Italian documents.
The 80kW model accepts 12 strings on six MPP trackers; the 100kW and 110kW models accept 16 strings on eight trackers.
Solis recommends spreading PV power evenly across the internal power modules, within 5%. If that is not possible, the wiring precautions give per-string power limits for 182mm and 210mm modules.
Yes. AFCI arc fault protection is integrated, but it has to be activated during commissioning.
Yes. Solis publishes CEI 0-21 and CEI 0-16 declarations of conformity and certificates for the Solis-(80-110)K-5G-PRO.
