Overview

The X3-IES-10K provides 10kVA output, a 20kVA AC input for charging and pass-through, and two MPP trackers rated 32A and 20A with three strings in total. SolaX recommends up to 20kWp of PV. The IES tower holds one to six TP-HS50E modules under a TBMS-MCS0800E BMS (5.1–30.7kWh), and the EPS output supplies 10kVA with up to 5500VA on one phase, switching over in under 10ms.

How it works

X3-IES is the three-phase inverter of SolaX's IES all-in-one family. It mounts on a tower formed by the TBMS-MCS0800E BMS, TP-HS50E modules and a base; larger systems can be split into two towers joined by a series box. The system ranges from 5.1kWh with one module to 30.7kWh with six, with 90% usable and up to 15kW charge and discharge power on the larger models.

On grid the inverter runs in Self Use, Feed-in Priority, Backup or Manual mode, and in a power cut the EPS output takes over in under 10ms. Functions include smart load control for heat pumps and EV chargers, generator support, microgrid operation and VPP readiness; AI-based forecasting needs an additional XHUB.

Key features

All models have two MPP trackers working from 110V to 950V with 1000V maximum input and a 140V start-up voltage. The 4, 5 and 6kW models take one string per tracker at 20A; from 8kW, MPPT1 accepts two strings and 32A while MPPT2 takes 20A. SolaX allows PV arrays of twice the rated power, from 8kWp to 30kWp.

Battery voltage ranges from 80V to 800V at up to 50A. EPS output equals rated power and doubles for 10 seconds; maximum single-phase output ranges from 2000VA on the 4kW to 5500VA on the 10–15kW models. Maximum efficiency is 98.0% and European efficiency 97.7%, with Type II surge protection on AC and DC and optional AFCI.

Installation and compatibility

The inverter measures 717×405×209.5mm and weighs 35kg up to 10kW and 37kg for 12 and 15kW. IP66 and natural cooling allow outdoor installation from -35°C to +60°C, with derating above 45°C. Leave more than 300mm between towers and to the ceiling. Up to three inverters can run in parallel without accessories, and up to ten with an X3-PBOX-60kW-G2 or X3-PBOX-150kW-G2; the X3-Matebox G2 is for single systems only.

Grid certifications include VDE-AR-N 4105, VDE 0126-1-1, EN 50549, G98, G99, AS 4777 and CEI 0-21, with safety to IEC 62109-1 and -2. For Italy SolaX publishes CEI 0-21 and CEI 0-16 certificates for the X3-IES with the TP-HS50E battery system, which covers low-voltage and medium-voltage connections.

Monitoring and settings

Commissioning uses the LCD or the SolaX app, and a Pocket monitoring dongle links the system to SolaXCloud for app and web monitoring, settings and remote updates. Interfaces include RS485, CAN, USB, digital input and output and the Pocket-X port. Night-time consumption is below 40W in hot standby and below 5W in cold standby.
