Deye SUN-10K-SG05LP1-EU10kW single-phase low-voltage hybrid inverter, 48V battery

Overview

SUN-10K-SG05LP1-EU is the 10kW model of the original SG05LP1-EU version, which Deye now lists as discontinued in favour of the AM2-P. It supplies 10kW rated and 11kVA maximum on a single-phase grid and charges and discharges a 48V battery at up to 210A. Two MPP trackers with two strings each (26A) accept up to 20kW of PV access power and 16kW of input power at up to 500V, and up to 16 units can run in parallel.

How it works

The SG05LP1 series is Deye's compact single-phase hybrid inverter for 48V batteries, built in two versions: the original SG05LP1-EU and the current SG05LP1-EU-AM2-P. Both connect PV, a lead-acid or lithium-ion battery of 40–60V, the grid, backup loads and a generator. Battery current rises with size from 90A (3.6kW) to 210A (10kW), and with lithium batteries charging follows the BMS limits.

Two MPP trackers work up to 500V, with 125V start-up and a 150–425V tracking range. The 3.6–6kW sizes take one string per tracker and the 7–10kW sizes two; the AM2-P version accepts more current per tracker (18A or 32A) than the EU version (13A or 26A). Off-grid output reaches twice the rated power for 10 seconds, and grid-to-load pass-through is 35–50A depending on size.

Key features

Six time periods schedule charging and discharging, and the work modes Selling First, Zero Export to Load and Zero Export to CT handle export. The GEN port takes a diesel generator, drives a smart load or receives AC-coupled on-grid inverters, so an existing PV system can be kept. Up to 16 units can operate in parallel on-grid or off-grid, on one phase or as a three-phase system. A colour touch LCD gives access to all settings.

Installation and compatibility

The IP65 unit weighs 24.9kg and needs about 50cm free at the sides, above and below, and 100cm in front, at up to 2000m. For the AM2-P version Deye recommends 40A grid and backup breakers up to 6kW and 50A from 7kW, a 150A or 225A battery DC breaker and battery cables from 25mm² (3.6kW) to 95mm² (10kW). Export is measured by the supplied CT or a CHNT DDSU666 or Eastron SDM230 meter.

Parallel systems require the Zero Export to CT mode. Grid regulations listed in the datasheets are IEC 61727, IEC 62116, CEI 0-21, EN 50549, NRS 097, RD 140, UNE 217002, OVE-Richtlinie R25, G99 and VDE-AR-N 4105, plus G98 for the EU version. Deye's EU declaration of conformity covers both versions. Operating range is -40 to 60°C, with derating above 45°C.

Monitoring and settings

Wi-Fi, RS485 and CAN interfaces are provided; remote monitoring in Deye Cloud uses the optional Wi-Fi plug or data logger. Through the touch LCD the installer sets battery type and limits, time-of-use periods, work mode, grid standard and GEN port function. The AM2-P version is quieter at under 45dB (EU version under 50dB). Warranty for the AM2-P is 5 years, extendable to 10 years depending on the country.
