Overview

SUN-10K-SG05LP3-EU-SM2 delivers 10kW (11kVA maximum) on a three-phase 230/400V grid from PV and a 48V battery, with up to 210A charge and discharge current. Its two MPP trackers take two strings each, 26A per tracker and up to 800V, for a PV array of up to 20kW access power and 16kW input power. Backup output, generator or AC-coupling port and parallel operation of up to 10 units make it suitable for three-phase homes and small businesses with low-voltage storage.

How it works

These three-phase hybrid inverters connect PV, a 48V battery, the grid, a backup load circuit and a generator in one IP65 unit. The battery side is galvanically isolated by a transformer, while the PV side is transformerless; the battery input accepts 40–60V lead-acid or lithium batteries, and with lithium the charge profile follows the BMS over CAN or RS485. Charge and discharge current scales with size, from 70A on the 3kW to 240A on the 12kW model.

The backup output keeps selected loads running during grid failures and can deliver twice the rated power for 10 seconds off-grid. Output may be fully unbalanced, with up to 50% of rated power on each phase. Grid-to-load pass-through is 45A. Two MPP trackers handle up to 800V, with a 200–650V MPPT range; the 10 and 12kW models take two strings and 26A per tracker.

Key features

Six time periods can be programmed for battery charging and discharging. The work modes are Selling First, Zero Export to Load and Zero Export to CT, with optional grid peak shaving. The GEN port can serve as generator input, as a smart load output switched by battery SOC or voltage, or as an AC-coupling input for an existing on-grid inverter on the grid or load side. Up to 10 units run in parallel, on-grid or off-grid.

Installation and compatibility

Mount the inverter on a vertical, load-bearing, non-flammable wall at eye level, out of direct sun, rain and snow, with about 50cm free at the sides, above and below and 100cm in front. Deye recommends 63A AC breakers on the grid and load ports and a DC breaker on the battery line, up to 300A for the 10 and 12kW models, with 42mm² battery cable from 5kW. Parallel systems must use the Zero Export to CT mode.

A CT sensor is supplied for export control; the CHNT DTSU666 or Eastron SDM630-Modbus V2 meter can be used instead on the Meter-485 port. The datasheet lists IEC 61727, IEC 62116, CEI 0-21, EN 50549, NRS 097, RD 140, UNE 217002, OVE-Richtlinie R25, G98, G99 and VDE-AR-N 4105, with country certificates published by Deye. Operating range is -40 to 60°C, with derating above 45°C.

Monitoring and settings

All settings, including battery type and limits, work modes, time-of-use periods, grid code and GEN port use, are made on the LCD. Monitoring and remote access run through Deye Cloud with the optional Wi-Fi plug, which is not part of the standard delivery. The inverter communicates over Wi-Fi, RS485 and CAN, and the unit also has a Modbus port. The warranty is 5 years, extendable to 10 years depending on the installation country.
