SolaX X1-Hybrid-6.0-D6kW single-phase high-voltage hybrid inverter, 2 MPPT

Overview

The X1-Hybrid-6.0-D supplies 6000VA rated and 6600VA maximum output on a single phase and accepts up to 12kWp of PV on two 16A trackers, at most 5000W per tracker. Its full-power MPPT range is 225–480V. The battery port handles 80–480V at 30A, and the EPS output carries 6000VA, peaking at 9000VA for 10 seconds. Its AC input is rated for 9200VA and 40A; the housing is fanless and weighs 24kg.

How it works

The X1-Hybrid G4 links a PV array, a high-voltage lithium battery and the single-phase grid in one wall-mounted unit, with a separate EPS port for backed-up loads. A SolaX DDSU666 meter or DDSU666-CT at the grid connection point tells the inverter when to charge, discharge or export. On grid, six working modes are available: Self use, Feed-in priority, Backup, Peak shaving, TOU and Manual.

The D version has a built-in DC switch and works on its own; the M version is combined with the external X1-Matebox for whole-house EPS operation. If the grid fails, the EPS output takes over in less than 10ms. The manual also covers generator operation through an ATS, microgrid use with an on-grid inverter on the EPS port, heat-pump control via the SolaX Adapter Box G2 and SolaX EV chargers.

Key features

Each of the two MPP trackers takes one string with up to 16A and 20A short-circuit current over 70–550V, with a 90V start-up voltage; a single tracker can deliver at most 5000W. SolaX allows PV arrays of up to twice the rated output, from 6kWp on the 3kW model to 15kWp on the 7.5kW model. Maximum efficiency is 97.6%, European efficiency 97.0%, and PV-to-battery and battery-to-AC efficiency both reach 97.0%.

Installation and compatibility

The battery port accepts 80–480V with 30A continuous charge and discharge current. The manual lists T-BAT H 5.8 with HV11550 modules, MC0600 with HV10230 modules, and the TBMS-MCR0800 or TBMS-MCS0800 controllers with two to eight TP-HR25, TP-HR36, TP-HS25 or TP-HS36 modules. Lead-acid batteries are listed as supported, but SolaX lithium batteries must never be run in lead-acid mode.

The IP65 housing measures 482×417×181mm and weighs 24–25kg; it is wall-mounted and operates from -35°C to +60°C, derating above 45°C. Leave 13cm free below the terminals and at least 30cm between units. Two inverters can run in parallel in grid and EPS mode with identical firmware. Listed grid codes include VDE-AR-N 4105, EN 50549, CEI 0-21, C10/11 and G98/G99.

Monitoring and settings

Monitoring and remote settings run on SolaXCloud, by app or web, through a SolaX Pocket WiFi dongle, with Pocket LAN or 4G as alternatives; only SolaX dongles are supported. Firmware is updated over USB, while RS485, CAN, DRM and the optional NTC sensor handle meter, battery BMS and external control. The 3–6kW models use natural cooling at under 30dB; the 7.5kW model has smart fan cooling at under 45dB.
