An Italian company selling batteries, inverters and solar equipment since 2015. Registered office in Sigillo (Perugia), VAT IT03894170541.
Who we areNew, original SMA products with full manufacturer warranty, supplied with their documentation.
The SBS3.7-10 is the 3680W version of Sunny Boy Storage, with 16A nominal output current at 230V. It charges and discharges a high-voltage battery of 100–550V through up to three 10A DC inputs and can supply 4600W for up to 60 seconds in battery-backup operation with an approved transfer switch. It has the widest battery approval of the three sizes, including LG RESU 10M, which SMA approves only for this model. Typical use: adding storage to an existing single-phase PV system.
Sunny Boy Storage is a battery inverter without PV inputs. It is connected on the AC side of the house and charges a high-voltage lithium-ion battery from surplus PV power measured by an SMA Energy Meter or Sunny Home Manager 2.0, then discharges it when the household draws from the grid. Because coupling happens on the AC side, it can be added to an existing PV system of any make, and PV and storage can be expanded independently of each other.
SMA describes it as a multistring battery inverter: three DC inputs of 10A each allow up to three battery units, with a 100–550V operating range and 600V maximum. Rated output is 3680, 5000 or 6000W, and in battery-backup operation the inverter can deliver 4600, 6300 or 7500W for up to 60 seconds after switching. Maximum efficiency is 97.5%. A manually switched secure power supply outlet of up to 16A keeps one circuit powered during an outage without extra hardware.
The 535×730×198mm, 26kg enclosure is IP65 and convection cooled for indoor or outdoor walls up to 3000m. Full battery-backup needs an automatic transfer switching device approved by SMA; self-built switching circuits are not permitted. Approved batteries include BYD Battery-Box H, Premium HVS and HVM, LG RESU 7H/10H type C, RESU 10H/16H Prime and RESU Flex, Pylontech Force-H1-V2 and H2-V2, BMZ Hyperion, IBC era:powerbase and AXITEC AXIstorage Li SH, some with limited approval on the larger models.
Commissioning uses the integrated web server via WLAN or Ethernet, or the SMA 360° App, and data reach Sunny Portal via Webconnect and the SMA Energy App. Interfaces are Ethernet, WLAN, CAN for the battery and RS485 for Modbus RTU, plus Modbus SMA/SunSpec. The datasheet lists CEI 0-21, VDE-AR-N 4105, EN 50549-1, C10/11, G99-1, IEC 62109-1/2, IEC 62477-1 and IEC 62040-1. Warranty extends from 5 to 10 years with product registration.
Yes. The datasheet lists retrofitting with inverters from other suppliers as an option, because the storage inverter is AC-coupled and only needs a compatible energy meter at the grid connection point.
A manual secure power supply socket up to 16A is built in. Automatic whole-circuit backup requires an automatic transfer switching device approved by SMA, listed in its battery technical information.
No. SMA's approved battery list for SBS3.7-10, SBS5.0-10 and SBS6.0-10 covers BYD, LG, Pylontech, BMZ, IBC and AXITEC models; SMA Home Storage is approved for the Smart Energy hybrid inverters.
There are three DC inputs of 10A each, with a combined short-circuit limit of 40A; the number of modules per battery follows SMA's approved configurations.
