Who we areNew, original Pylontech products with full manufacturer warranty, supplied with their documentation.
The US3000C is a 48V lithium iron phosphate module of 3.552kWh, 3.37kWh usable at 95% depth of discharge, in a 19-inch case of 442×420×132mm and 32kg. Recommended current is 37A, with 74–89A for one minute and up to 200A for 15 seconds, and several modules in parallel add up their current. Up to 16 units form one group, and up to four can be stacked in Pylontech brackets. It is also the usual way to extend existing US2000 or US3000 banks.
Each US module is a self-contained 48V lithium iron phosphate battery with its own BMS, sized to fit a 19-inch rack. Modules are connected in parallel, never in series, so capacity and current add up while the voltage stays at 48V nominal. One group can hold up to 16 modules; several groups are linked over RS485 directly or over CAN through Pylontech's LV-Hub.
The first module in a group acts as master and talks to the inverter. Generations can be mixed: with a US5000 as master, US3000C or US2000C modules can follow in positions two to sixteen, and with a US3000C as master, older US3000 and US2000 units can occupy positions two to eight. Pylontech recommends using the newest unit of a type as master.
The US3000C stores 3.55kWh and handles 37A recommended, 74–89A for 60 seconds and up to 200A for 15 seconds. The US5000 stores 4.8kWh and delivers 100A continuous, 105–119A for 15 minutes and 120–200A for 15 seconds. Both allow 95% depth of discharge with inverters following Pylontech's current protocol, include soft-start for inverter inrush and dual active protection in the BMS, and accept firmware updates from the inverter via CAN or RS485.
The modules are IP20 and belong in a dry, dust-free room between 0°C and 50°C, best at 10–40°C, at least 2m from heat sources and 0.5m from inverter air outlets, out of direct sun. They mount in a cabinet, a rack or Pylontech stacking brackets: up to four US3000C or three US5000 per bracket stack. Each external cable pair carries 100A constant, and a DC breaker of at least 60V, type C or D, is recommended.
Pylontech's low-voltage compatibility list includes the US5000 with Victron MultiPlus and Quattro via Venus OS, SMA Sunny Island, Studer Xtender, Schneider Conext XW Pro, Solis, Deye, GoodWe and many other 48V inverters, giving the communication type and verified firmware for each. Check the US3000C with Pylontech for the specific inverter.
Yes, within Pylontech's rules: the US5000 must be the master, and US3000C modules can be used as slaves in positions two to sixteen of the group.
Pylontech's manuals allow a maximum of four US3000C or three US5000 in one bracket stack; larger banks need several stacks or a rack.
No. The battery box contains the short link cables between modules and a grounding cable; the power and communication cables to the inverter form a separate external cable kit.
The European US series warranty runs seven years from installation or six months after manufacture, whichever comes first, under the conditions of the warranty document.
