Overview

This is the smallest Force H3 configuration: an FC1000 controller with base and two FH10050 modules, giving 10.24kWh nominal and 9.69kWh usable at 204.8V. At the rated 50A it can deliver roughly 10kW at nominal voltage, although the inverter usually sets the limit. The tower is 530mm high and weighs 92kg. Pylontech lists two-module towers with KOSTAL PLENTICORE G3, SMA Sunny Boy Smart Energy and Solis S6-EH3P(12-20)K-H, among others; inverters such as GoodWe ET 15-30 need at least three modules.

How it works

A Force H3 tower stands on a 40mm base and stacks two to seven FH10050 battery modules in series under the FC1000 battery controller. Each module holds 32 LFP cells of 3.2V and 50Ah, adding 5.12kWh and 102.4V, so a tower ranges from 10.24kWh at 204.8V to 35.84kWh at 716.8V. With 95% depth of discharge, usable energy runs from 9.69kWh to 34.01kWh.

Larger systems combine up to six towers with the same module count. The P-Combiner-HV-3-V2 joins up to three towers at 50A continuous, the P-Combiner-HV-6-V2 up to six at 100A. Controllers are chained through their Link 0 and Link 1 ports; the tower whose Link 0 stays empty becomes the master and is the only one that communicates with the inverter.

Key features

Rated charge and discharge current is 50A, with 55A allowed for 15 minutes and a short-circuit rating of 4500A for 1ms. The FC1000 accepts 80–1000V and draws less than 16W. Pylontech states 96% efficiency at 0.5C, more than 8,000 cycles and a design life above 15 years at 25°C. Below 10°C and above 40°C the BMS limits charge and discharge power.

Installation and compatibility

A module weighs 39kg and a complete tower 92–287kg, so modules need several people or lifting gear, and the floor must be flat and strong enough. The base is fixed with four M8 expansion bolts, or placed 40mm from a wall and held with anti-toppling brackets. Keep 2m from heat sources and 0.3m between towers, avoid direct sun and frost, and keep the base out of rain; grounding resistance must not exceed 100mΩ.

Every inverter in Pylontech's high-voltage compatibility list has its own permitted module range, for example two to five modules with KOSTAL PLENTICORE G3, two to four with SMA Sunny Boy Smart Energy (BMS firmware 1.6 or later) and two to seven with Solis S6-EH3P(12-20)K-H. GoodWe, Sungrow, Deye, KACO and many other brands are listed too.

Monitoring and settings

The FC1000 talks to the inverter over CAN at 500kbps or Modbus RTU over RS485 at 9600bps by default; the LED button switches baud rate and protocol. Built-in Wi-Fi, or a LAN cable where the signal is weak, links the battery to Pylontech's online portal. A black-start function closes the relay for about ten minutes to wake the inverter from the battery, and the first start needs a full charge to calibrate the state of charge.
