Who we areNew, original Dyness products with full manufacturer warranty, supplied with their documentation.
The Tower S3 TS10 is a complete high-voltage battery tower with three HV9637S modules, the SBDU controller and the base. It stores 10.66kWh at 288V nominal, with 10.127kWh usable at the recommended 95% depth of discharge, and works between 252V and 324V. With inverter communication it charges and discharges at up to 22.5A, about 6.39kW. The tower stands 920mm high, 504mm wide and 380mm deep and weighs 143kg. On the Dyness compatibility list the TS-10 column is approved for most listed hybrid inverters, including GoodWe ET, Solis S6-EH3P and Hoymiles HYT models.
Tower S3 is a floor-standing high-voltage battery made of a base, two to six HV9637S lithium iron phosphate modules and a battery disconnect unit (SBDU) on top. Each module holds 30 cells in series, so it adds 96V and 3.552kWh to the string. The five standard towers, TS7, TS10, TS14, TS17 and TS21, therefore run at 192V to 576V nominal and store 7.10kWh to 21.31kWh, of which 95% is the recommended usable share.
Modules connect to each other through composite plug-and-socket connectors that carry both power and the internal bus, so no power cables run between modules. The SBDU holds the DC breaker, the WAKE button, the RJ45 CAN/RS485 port for the inverter, two parallel ports and a Wi-Fi antenna.
Every tower shares the same current ratings: charge and discharge at 18.5A in normal operation, 22.5A maximum when the battery communicates with the inverter, and a 37A discharge limit. In practice this gives 4.2kW of charge and discharge power on a TS7 and 12.78kW on a TS21. The BMS protects against over-charge, over-discharge, over-current and temperature faults and balances the cells. Charging is allowed from 0°C to +50°C and discharging from -10°C to +50°C.
Dyness asks for 100–200mm of free space around the tower, a firm base, earthing below 1Ω and a location away from direct sun, rain and snow. Power leads are 6mm² and 2m long; if they must be longer, use the same cross-section up to 3m. Dyness recommends a two-pole DC breaker between the SBDU and the inverter. Tower S3 must never be mixed with the older Tower series, either in series or in parallel.
Up to 12 towers of the same model and capacity can be paralleled, provided their voltages are within 20V, all are fully charged and a new tower is added within six months. Dyness publishes a Tower S3 compatibility list that includes GoodWe ET, Solis S6-EH3P, Deye SG01HP3, Hoymiles HYT, SAJ H2, KACO blueplanet hybrid and Sunways STH models, with the tower sizes approved for each.
The tower reports to the inverter over CAN or RS485 through one RJ45 cable, and the WAKE button LED shows whether the link is working: steady green means battery and inverter are communicating, flashing green means the battery is healthy but the link has failed. The controller also carries a Wi-Fi module for monitoring. Dyness recommends a full charge at least every three months to rebalance the cells and calibrate the state of charge.
No. Dyness states that Tower S3 and the earlier Tower series must not be mixed in series or in parallel. Use HV9637S modules with the Tower S3 SBDU controller only.
Up to 12 Tower S3 clusters. They must be the same model and capacity, within 20V of each other, fully charged when connected, and a new cluster should be added within six months of the existing ones.
With inverter communication the maximum continuous charge and discharge current is 22.5A, which gives 4.2kW for a TS7 and 12.78kW for a TS21. The battery cannot deliver more than the connected inverter allows.
Dyness keeps a Tower S3 compatibility list covering around 30 inverter brands, including GoodWe, Solis, Deye, Hoymiles, SAJ, KACO and Sunways. The list also states which tower sizes are approved for each inverter model, so check it before choosing the number of modules.
No. The Tower S3 charges between 0°C and +50°C and discharges between -10°C and +50°C. The manual recommends keeping the room between 18°C and 30°C and heating it if temperatures fall below zero.
