Overview

The FH9637M is the 3.552kWh, 96V, 37Ah module of Pylontech's Force-H2 range, built from 30 LFP cells in series. It is not a standalone battery: modules stack in series on the base under the FC0500M-40S-V2 controller, and each one raises the tower by 96V and 3.552kWh. Typical uses are expanding an existing two- or three-module tower or replacing a module. Each unit measures 450×296×296mm and weighs 35kg. The inverter must accept the new tower voltage and module count.

  • 3.552kWh, 96V, 37Ah FH9637M LiFePO4 modules
  • Towers of 7.10–14.20kWh at 192–384V
  • FC0500M-40S-V2 controller with Wi-Fi, CAN and Modbus RTU
  • 18.5A normal current, 42A peak for 15 seconds
  • Up to 6 towers in parallel via P-Combiner
  • IP55 housing, 450mm wide footprint

How it works

A Force-H2-V2 tower combines a 40mm base, FH9637M battery modules connected in series and the FC0500M-40S-V2 controller on top. Each module carries 30 LFP cells of 3.2V and 37Ah, so it adds 3.552kWh and 96V. The V2 operation manual covers towers of two to four modules, 7.10kWh at 192V up to 14.20kWh at 384V; the series datasheet also lists a five-module 17.76kWh tower at 480V.

Up to six towers with identical module counts can run in parallel. Their controllers are chained through Link 0 and Link 1, and the controller with an empty Link 0 is the master that talks to the inverter. Power is combined with a P-Combiner 3, rated 50A continuous, or a P-Combiner 6, rated 100A continuous.

Key features

Each tower charges and discharges at 18.5A in normal operation, 7.4A as the standard rate and 42A for up to 15 seconds. Pylontech quotes 96% efficiency, 95% depth of discharge and an operation life of more than 15 years. The controller panel shows system status, module status and state of charge in 25% steps, and a black-start function closes the relay for ten minutes without communication.

Installation and compatibility

The system is designed to IP55 and works from 0°C to +50°C, best between 18°C and 28°C, up to 2000m altitude. Pylontech asks for a fixed floor carrying 130–300kg, at least 2m from heat sources, 0.3m between towers, no direct sun, and ideally a base more than 300mm above ground. The base is bolted down with four M8 foundation bolts and metal brackets at the rear corners hold the stack together.

The high-voltage compatibility list gives a module range per inverter, for example two to four FH9637M with KOSTAL PLENTICORE plus, G2 and G3 or SMA Sunny Boy Storage, and two to five with Solis RHI-3P, Sungrow SH5.0-10RT and Deye SUN-5~25K-SG01HP3. Only the V2 version works with SMA Sunny Boy Storage, and the SMA enable line uses pins 1 and 2 of the RS232 port.

Monitoring and settings

Communication with the inverter runs over CAN or Modbus RTU through RJ45 ports; holding the LED button switches the RS485 baud rate between 115200 and 9600bps or selects another protocol. The controller has a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi module for remote access, and an RS232 port is reserved for service. After installation Pylontech asks owners to register the system online to obtain the full warranty.

Questions and answers

What does a complete Force-H2-V2 tower need?

One FC0500M-40S-V2 controller, which is packed with the base, rear brackets and cables, plus at least two FH9637M modules. No further installation kit is required according to the manual.

What is the tower voltage?

Each FH9637M adds 96V nominal, so two modules give 192V, three 288V and four 384V. The inverter's battery input must accept the resulting range, for two modules 174–216V.

Can Force-H2 modules be mixed with Force H3 modules?

No. Force H3 uses the 102.4V FH10050 module and the FC1000 controller, while Force-H2-V2 uses the 96V FH9637M and FC0500M-40S-V2. In parallel systems all towers must use the same battery type and module count.

Which warranty applies in the EU?

Pylontech's EU consumer warranty for the Force H series, which names Force-H2-V2 and the FH9637M module, covers battery module performance for ten years under the conditions of the warranty document.
