Overview

The FH3X-3.6K-HY-1P is the smallest Force H3X controller: 3.6kW single-phase on grid and backup, two MPPTs and up to 5.7kW of PV at 600V maximum. It stacks with one to four FH10050 modules; with one module battery power is limited to 2.5kW, from two modules it discharges at the full 3.6kW. Grid import reaches 5.4kW, and the backup port supplies 3.6kVA continuously with 4.32kVA for 60 seconds. Maximum PV power corresponds to arrays of up to 5.7kWp.

How it works

Force H3X combines a hybrid power controller and FH10050 battery modules in one stack: the controller sits on its base, the modules stack on top and connect in series without separate DC wiring. Single-phase controllers accept one to four modules, 5.12kWh at 102.4V up to 20.48kWh at 409.6V. The controller box contains the base, mounting brackets for the battery stack, PV and AC connectors and a CT for grid measurement.

PV strings connect directly to the controller through an isolating PV switch, and a battery switch with an 80A fuse protects the stack. The backup port supplies selected loads during a grid failure, switching over in 10ms or less. Pylontech states that the system can be installed and commissioned in about 15 minutes.

Key features

With a single module, charging and discharging are limited to 2.5kW; from two modules the battery charges at up to 8kW and discharges at the controller's rated power. Power drawn from the grid can reach 1.5 times the rated output, 5.4kW on the 3.6kW model and 7.5kW on the 5kW model. Protections include AFCI, residual current monitoring, insulation monitoring, type II surge protection on DC and AC, and an emergency power off input.

Installation and compatibility

The IP65, C5-M system can stand indoors or outdoors on a flat, fixed surface that carries at least 300kg, 40mm from the wall, 2m from heat sources and away from rain at the base. Applicable grids are TN-S, TN-C and TN-C-S. Pylontech recommends a separate two-pole type C breaker, 50A for the 3.6 and 5kW models, and 10mm² copper AC and backup cables.

The datasheet lists grid codes including CEI 0-21, VDE-AR-N 4105, EN 50549-1 and -10, C10/11, G98 and G99. Output is reduced above 45°C ambient and above 2000m. In Germany, the DRM0 dry contact on pins 14 and 15 lets the grid operator's control box reduce power under §14a EnWG.

Monitoring and settings

The system runs on Pylon Cloud via Wi-Fi, LAN or Bluetooth, with the PylontechPro app for installers and the Pylontech app for owners. Modes are intelligent dynamic, which learns tariffs, weather and loads for 30 days, self-consumption, backup, feed-in priority and full off-grid. A signal cable switches a heat pump, and Pylontech states ten years of warranty for networked systems, five if never online.
