Overview

The H1PL-1J3.6K-EU delivers 3.6kW to the grid at 220/230V and exchanges up to 3.6kW (75A) with a 48V lithium or lead-acid battery. Its two 16A MPP trackers are sized for PV arrays up to 5.7kW, reaching full power from 125V per tracker. The backup output switches over within 10ms and supplies 5kVA for 60 seconds. Like the 3kW version it runs as a single unit only, without parallel operation.

How it works

The H1PL-1J is a single-phase hybrid inverter that works with a low-voltage battery between 42V and 58V, either lithium-ion with CAN or RS485 BMS link or lead-acid, from 50Ah to 2000Ah. The battery stage is galvanically isolated by a high-frequency transformer, while the PV side has two MPP trackers rated 16A with a 90–520V range and a 600V maximum. Haier recommends PV arrays up to 1.6 times the AC rating, for example 9.6kW on the 6kW model.

Charge and discharge power equals the rated output, from 3kW at 62.5A to 6kW at 125A. An Eastron SDM120CTM meter with CT is supplied for self-consumption and export control. In the E-Tower LV system Haier pairs these inverters with its B051100P03-H 5.12kWh LFP modules.

Operating modes and backup

Four work modes are available: self-use (default), feed-in priority, peak shaving with a configurable grid import limit, and pure off-grid operation. Time-of-use windows control when the battery charges or discharges. The backup port takes over within 10ms and can deliver 1.4 times rated apparent power for 60 seconds on the 3kW model and about 1.33 times on the 6kW model. It must never be connected to the grid.

Installation and compatibility

The IP66 housing measures 405×480×205mm and weighs 24.2kg; cooling is natural convection and noise stays below 35dB. The manual asks for at least 400mm between inverters or other objects and 800mm from the bottom of the unit to the floor, away from direct sunlight. PV inputs use MC4 connectors and AC quick-connect plugs.

Only the 4.6, 5 and 6kW models can run in parallel, with identical units sharing one battery; three units can also be connected across the three phases of the grid, but the backup ports cannot be paralleled as a three-phase supply. Generator support is limited to the 5 and 6kW models. Grid codes in the manual include CEI 0-21, VDE-AR-N 4105, EN 50549-1, C10/11, G98 and G99.

Monitoring and settings

Commissioning is done through the app over Bluetooth, using the supplied antenna; a Wi-Fi/LAN stick datalogger connects the inverter to the cloud. Five LEDs show battery, power, Wi-Fi, Ethernet and Bluetooth status. Battery model, meter type and position, over-discharge and force-charge SOC and the grid code are set in the app.
