Who we areNew, original Huawei products with full manufacturer warranty, supplied with their documentation.
The SUN2000-185KTL-H1 delivers 175kW nominal at 40°C ambient, 160kW at 50°C, and 185kVA maximum apparent power at 800V AC. Nine MPP trackers with two inputs each accept 18 strings at up to 1,500V, with 26A per tracker and 40A short-circuit current per tracker. Maximum efficiency is 99.03% and European efficiency 98.69%. The fuse-free IP66 unit measures 1,035×700×365mm, weighs 84kg and uses Staubli MC4 EVO2 DC connectors, for utility and large commercial plants with their own transformer.
The SUN2000-185KTL-H1 converts the output of up to 18 strings, paired on nine MPP trackers, into three-phase 800V AC without a neutral conductor. Each tracker accepts 26A with 40A short-circuit current; tracking spans 500–1,500V, start-up is at 550V and the nominal input voltage is 1,080V. Nominal active power depends on ambient temperature: 175kW at 40°C, 168kW at 45°C and 160kW at 50°C, with 185kVA maximum apparent power.
Maximum efficiency is 99.03% and European efficiency 98.69%. The design needs no string fuses. String fault monitoring, DC insulation resistance detection, a residual current monitoring unit, anti-islanding and AC overcurrent protection are integrated, together with Type II surge arresters on the DC and AC sides. Smart I-V curve diagnosis scans the strings to identify underperforming modules without testing each string by hand.
The inverter supports the IT earthing system and is supplied by a dedicated power transformer rather than low-voltage overhead lines. String open-circuit voltage must never exceed 1,500V, strings on one MPPT should contain the same number of identical modules, and full parallel connection of strings is not supported. At most one set of Y-branch connectors may be used per MPPT, with the 15A or 20A fuse ratings recommended in the manual.
AC cables can be copper of 50–185mm², or aluminium alloy and copper-clad aluminium of 70–185mm² multi-core or 70–240mm² single-core; aluminium lugs must not touch the terminal block directly. DC cables are 1500V PV cables of 4–6mm² with Staubli MC4 EVO2 connectors. Huawei recommends 600–730mm of clearance below the unit and a side-by-side or triangle layout for several inverters.
RS485 connects the inverter to a SmartLogger or cascades several units, and MBUS communication over the AC power cables is also supported. Local settings are made with the app through the WLAN or Bluetooth module supplied with the inverter, or by USB. The datasheet lists EN/IEC 62109-1/-2, EN 50530, IEC 62116 and IEC 61727 together with Spanish requirements such as P.O. 12.3, RD 1699 and RD 413.
Huawei rates the SUN2000-185KTL-H1 at 175kW at 40°C, 168kW at 45°C and 160kW at 50°C ambient. Maximum apparent power is 185kVA.
No, the inverter has a fuse-free design. If Y-branch connectors are used, at most one set per MPPT is allowed, with fused connectors as recommended in the manual.
No. The output is 800V three-phase without neutral, and the inverter must be supplied by a dedicated power transformer.
18 strings directly, two per MPPT on nine trackers. The manual allows at most one set of Y-branch connectors per MPPT.
